My Lovers' Buns Are Colored A Red, Red Rose
by Bunny Burns and Agent Doggerel
Bearing a suspicious resemblance to the Scottish poet
In loving parody and hope of public domain.
No Names exactly, but what three lovers do I adore?
Oh, my lovers' buns are colored a red, red rose
That will show a deeper purple soon.
So naughty were you, my bonny lad
And so frightened for you was I.
I think I being driven half-mad
The way your schemes go awry.
Although you've been so very bad,
I will love you still, my dears
For all my paddling of your rears.
And I will cuddle you close, my dears,
Until all your tears are gang dry
My lovers' bottoms are held so high,
And how they whimper and meekly sigh,
That their buns feel like the hot, hot sun,
But Fox and Rat, you best not run,
But lay you here upon my knees
I'm deaf to all your cries and pleas.
Until you stop your schemes and wiles.
And realize your plans are but risky trials.
Of my patience and my aching palm.
But I will love you still, my dears,
And lave you after with healing balm.
And I will cuddle you close, my dears,
Until all your tears are dry and done.
