The Social Snow

I watch
As the heavy white blanket
Covers the Earth.

I want
To smother myself in it's warmth
And fall asleep.

I shiver
For this blanket is not warm
Its Cold
                        Dreary
                                                  Emptiness
Frightens me.

I run
Trying to hide all that I want
Know and feel
From those who would laugh.

I scream
Terrified by the blandness
The cold dreariness.

I jump
Diving into the fear.
Those around me swarm
Biting and gnawing
Trying to force understanding
But refusing to understand

I submit
But I am the only one
who knows its wrong.

I watch
As the heavy white blanket
Covers the earth.
