In 1999 a space ship named by humans
                  as "the Visitor" lands on Macross Island
                  It soon got the name Super Dimensional
                  Fortress I or SDF-1.  All nations ban
                  together and stop war in a effort to
                  rebuild and work the alien ship.  Ten
                  years after its crash landing, the ship
                  is restored completely.  During the
                  opening ceremonies an Alien force named
                  Zentraedi comes to Earth to take the ship
                  back.  A full scale war breaks out which
                  eventually leads to three series of great
