This is how Like My Father before Me began...please, don't take it too seriously...and if you liked this try the spic it has become. It isn't nearly as funny, but it will give you a measure of comparison.

instead of beating Vader/getting semi-fried/saved by Vader who dies, Luke accepts Vader's offer of a partnership....they gang up on Palpy, throw him down the convenient gaping chasm and escape just as it all goes kablooie. They fly off to a far-off neutral planet so farmboy has time to learn the Dark Side. To all on Endor and in the sky, it appears that they both died in the Death Star explosion. Luke is indoctrinated by his dad....becomes Vader [see Cave scene, etc.]

Meanwhile, back on Endor, Leia knows her brother is still alive, even though he doesn't come back. Her instincts tell her something is wrong, but she doesn't know what it is. Han wants to get out of her way, she tell him Luke is her sib...he tries to reassure her that everything is OK, she won't let him. That night, Yoda/Obi-Wan appears to her, tells her that she is their _ONLY_ hope, sends her to a far off system [name coming soon] to learn from them and the Jedi Mistress living there. She leaves without telling anyone, even Han.

Han gets worried about her, they leave Lando [and Threepio] on Endor at his request [he likes Ewoks...Kill! Kill!] and take off to look for her. In another asteroid shower, the Falcon crashes on an unoccupied planet. They are stuck there for a while while they try to fix it. Fortunately, they've got food there...The Wonderful *Wedge* looks for them after a while, worriedthat the bucket of bolts has crashed, bringing parts etc. [as much as he can fit in the X-Wing.

The Bespin scum learns about Ewoks and how to talk to them, why I do not know. 3PO, not happy about being left with Scum, goes off to sulk once the Cloud City Bandit can communicate vaguely w/ the fuzzy jerks. Scum is unaffected by the rest of this, I can't bear to write about him.

Farmboy studies hard, and he really takes to the Dark Side. He learns quickly, but he still can't do the funky lightening thing. He is unhappy about this, and wants to learn longer, but daddy-o says they have to get back to the Imperial throne before the Rebel scum get too far ahead.
Farmboy has flashes from his sister that he tells Daddy about; daddy says that they have to get Leia, too. Farmboy has vague doubts, doesn't voice them.

Leia learns all sorts of fun stuff from her Mistress and fortunately doesn't have to carry her, since she is of a species larger than humans. Leia tries to talk to farmboy periodically, has a bad feeling about him, is impatient to get back to him, feels guilt about leaving Han without telling him, etc. the Jedi removes a key part from her vehicle w/o telling her, just in case [recommended by Yoda]. Leia worries about bro in the minutes between learning to be an awesome warrior....

Han and Chewie have technical difficulties, get their transmitter working, pick up the Great One who was out looking for them. ~Wedge~ gives them some spare parts [he had had a hunch about why they weren't, hurrah for Antilles] and helps them fix the holy hunk o' junk so it flies, not long distance, but it flies, making sure they can limp off to the Rebel base before blasting off to look for Leia on Han's begging. [PS- the Great One has a hyperdrive, like farmboy later on] *Wedge* first returns to the Rebel base, tells them he found the furball and the scoundrel and that they are on their way. Then the Great One takes His trusty X-wing and goes to look for the princess.

Lando [god I want to kill him] is his own nasty self- teaches Ewoks to play sabacc.

Farmboy wants to return to the Empire ASAP, talks Daddy into a quiet route by telling him of the Leia contacts again, wanting to keep a low profile [how can Darth keep a low profile?] while controlling everything. Daddy and Farmboy go back to the Imperial Palace, take it by stealth. Lukie grabs the acting regent, daddy tells him to keep working like nothing happened and daddy and farmboy weren't there, but that they [usually daddy] will give him orders at the beginning of each day, and if unexpected stuff came up, to send them [him] a message immediately, and not to speak of them to anyone. Lukie gets another flash of Leia, she is worried like heck about him, looking for him.

Leia figures out where her sib is, and half of what he's doing. She thinks Vader took him as a captive, against farmboy's will, and that he is being held captive in the Imperial palace. During the next contact, Luke figures out that this is what she thinks and tells Daddy. Dad and farmboy work on a plan to conceal his true status from her while talking her into being a baaad girl. The father-son team orchestrates a takeover of yet another system, reclaimed Tatooine as their own.

Right before Leia leaves her mentor, ~Wedge~ shows up with new of Han and Chewie as well as Luke and Daddy's latest conquest, though he doesn't know it was Lukie as well as Helmetman. The Jedi Mistress repairs Leia's ship, telling her to be careful, and, like her bro, she can't be a Jedi until she confronts Daddy. The Jedi Lady knows about Lukie's fall from greatness, but doesn't tell Leia because it would just make everything harder. The Great One goes back to the Rebel base and tells them about Leia: her rise in power and her plan to save farmboy from Vader. Like he wants to be saved.

Han and Chewie have returned to the base just before *Wedge* returns with news of Leia. They go off to back her up, bringing ~Wedge~ and a transport w/ X-Wings [so I can write a neato battle scene].
