4-4 oz&bsp; Albacore Tuna steaks
Cook tuna in a pan with 1 T olive oil in your oven
at 425F for about 10 minutes until done.
2 tbs Olive Oil
4 1 oz Slices of Cheddar or Monterey Jack Cheese
1 can Green Chilies, whole
1 tbs Cilantro, fresh and chopped
4 tbs Green Salsa
4 slices Bread, use your favorite with a hearty crust like French bread
If you
use canned (dolphin safe) tuna go straight to the
broiling step.
Turn your oven on to broil and set the 4 slices of
bread onto a cookie sheet, lightly brush the bread
with the remaining 1 T of olive oil.
On top of the bread add a tuna steak, a whole green
chili, a slice a cheese and put under the broiler
until the cheese is melted, about 1 or 2 minutes.
Watch carefully so that the bread does not burn.
To serve top a tablespoon of green salsa and a
sprinkle of Cilantro; cut each open face sandwich
with a slight diagonal cut.
