left side of book spacerI also became interested in computers and technology when I was a teen. Through several of my friends, as well as the highschool I attended, I had access to computers. I liked to experiment with them a lot and eventually I had to get a computer of my own. I was very happy to hack away programming in basic, doing word processing and creating graphics.
spacerOne of my favorite ongoing projects in computer programming was [and still is] trying to create THE perfect program to act as a DUNGEON MASTERS
the center of the book ASSISTANT for the role playing game, Advanced Dungeons and Dragons, my other fixation at that time. My friends and I played endless hours of D&D on the weekends. I still play today and have had a campaign going off and on for years. I have played other role playing games - Traveler, Paranoia, Gamma World, Vampire, and so on, and so on... but none of them captured my imagination quite like A D&D.right side of book

The right edge of the book turns forward a page, the left edge turns back and the central fold takes you back to my info page.

Computers I have owned- My first computer was an Apple IIE clone. When it died a few years later, due to a flood in my apartment, I upgraded to an Apple IIGS which was a WAY COOL machine. I wish that Apple had not decided to cut off all support of this machine shortly after. But that seems to be typical Apple policy. For that reason, when I enrolled in computer sciences seriously I decided it was time to switch to some kind of IBM PC clone. I haven't looked back yet.

A D&D - Advanced Dungeons and Dragons is a fantasy role playing game created by gary Gygax. Despite what many people will say it does NOT cause one to become psychopathic, homicidal, cultist, republican, or anything nasty. It IS a dangerously fun way to waste an inordinate amount of time and spend money on small bits of paper, lead, and plastic. However it seems to have a few beneficial side effects, improving a persons ability to solve problems, interact with others, and express themselves in unusual ways, much like the effect of reading too much science fiction.
