I finished highschool [Valedictorian of my graduating class], I had to decide
what I wanted to do with my life. I moved to Saskatoon and tried to enter the
University of Saskatchewan's music program. I first auditioned as a piano major.

as a flute major. However, as I had been taught to play flute by a trumpet
player I had learned to use all the wrong fingerings. No luck in the flute
department either... |

that I had never formally studied voice. He suggested I audition in voice, and
after I had sung a while, he said I could get in by becoming a voice major. Well
of course I leapt on that offer... | |
