Colluphid Armoury : Pictures

Every now and again, I am able to gain access to a digital camera here at work. When I do, I'll add more pictures to this gallery.

Armour

Here is the hauberk that I made the pattern depicted in the library. Although the lighting isn't that good, the 45 degree seams can be clearly seen along the shoulders. Brass has been added around the collar and along the bottom edges in the form of dags. The sleeves have been lengthened to reach just below the elbows.

Here is a full coif that I made using the pattern in the library. It also has dags along the bottom edge. I added the single brass dag along the forhead and the brass edging around the face as an afterthought.

Here is a bishop's mantle also made using the pattern depicted in the pattern library. I've added to large dags 15 links deep at the front and back. This mantle has 63 links in each of the first 5 rows, 84 links in the connecting (6th) row and the next 5, and 112 in the last six. Each expanding row, therefore, adds one third as many links, as the row before.

In this picture a closeup of the mantle is shown, so that the expansion can be seen. Every 5th row has one extra link for every 3.

This picture is a closeup of the 45 degree seam on the hauberk. It shows the method which is used to connect the two pieces of mail together.
