Star Wars Episode JTI: Sailors of the Unknown Reaches It is a time in the Alliance history. Darth Vader is not dead. The Emperor still rules supreme, and he has found something that will bing him power beyond all measure: Serena, Sailor Moon, the Moon Princess and an alliance with the Negaverse. While she lies unguarded, he sets Darth Vader after her, and he, in turn, sets a bounty on her head. Their goal is simple: turn the Moon Princess to the Dark Side. They find that attaining this goal is not as simple. What they didn't count on was a bond of friendship, and the help of a powerful user of the Force.... ------------------------------------------------ Boba Fett stood in one of the numerous docking bays of the Super Star Destroyer Executor. His Madalorian armored helmet kept his face from being seen, and hie voice was enhanced and distorted by computer scramblers inside, and those two factors hid that he was anxious. I've been out of action too long hunting Solo, he thought, new blood will keep me fresh.. The man he was to meet was ten minutes late. If he had to wait any longer, he wasn't going to. Then, an officer, admiral in rank, approached him. "Admiral Piett." His voice sounded computer-like. "You wanted to see me." He kept his tone as neutral as he could. The admiral shifted uncomfortably. "Yes, Fett. I have a job for you. There is a target on the planet Earth Lord Vader wants captured." The computer voice didn't hide his slight confusion. "Earth? I've never heard of this planet." Piett nodded his head in sympathy. "I know, neither have I." Even through this, Fett knew that the admiral did not like bounty hunters, and what drove him to hire one was a last resort. "Do you have the coordinates of this planet?" "Yes, Lord Vader has provided me with them." Fett smiled behind his mask. "Have them loaded into my ship." Piett nodded. "Already done, uploaded into the ship along with the mission parameters. This hunting is high priority Fett. If you mess up, we both lose." Boba Fett slammed the butt of his blaster rifle into Piett's leg, knocking him off-balance, and when the admiral fell, he held it over him as if to shoot him. Fear was obvious on his face. "Every mission is top priority, Admiral Piett. If you express that I may fail again, you won't have another chance." Piett nodded vigorously. Fett then turned and walked toward his ship. Still got it, he thought to himself as he fired up the sublight engines and headed toward the jump point. --------------------------------------------------- "SERENA! WAKE UP! WE'RE GOING TO BE LATE!. Serena groggily yawned, and realized what was going on. She'd overslept again. "Great..." She said, "I'll be right the-!" Then she opened her eyes, and instantly snapped wide awake. She was staring up the barrel of a gun! "Don't move." Commanded a calm, throatly, slightly computeristic voice. She couldn't see who it was, her vision was firmly fixated on the gun before her. "Wh-who are you?" She asked weakly, and her voice obviously frightened. "You don't need to know," He pulled the gun back, and she saw her attacker for the first time. He was wearing a strange type of armor, she'd seen it before but couldn't place it right away. He was wearing a helmet that obscured his face and a strange spear-shaped object was behind his head. " right now all you have to know is that unless you get dressed, you won't need to know anything else. Ever again." He placed the rifle-type gun across his chest. Serena didn't argue, she got up and went over to he closet. Maybe I can call for help, she thought. She opened her mouth to scream, and it coaught in her throat when she opened the closet door, Luna was lying on the floor stiff and lifeless. "Don't worry, she isn't dead. Only stunned, but she will die unless you follow my orders exactly, all right?" His voice had an undertone of malice. "H-how could you, you--" She blabbered, physically on the verge of breaking down and crying, she picked up Luna gently, her body lifeless. "Easy. Now, unless you get dressed, you're going to be flying across the skies of wherever we are in your pajamas." Silently sobbing, Serena got dressed in her school uniform. "Now, pick up the cat and take it downstairs with you. Walk out the front door and wait for me. I WILL be watching you, S-." "Serena, hurry up! You're going to be la--HEY!" Terra ran into the room, and saw the scene before her. The armored intruder holding Serena at gunpoint. "What's going on here?!" "Oh, a kidnapping." The armored one said flatly. "Wait a second." Terra came to a realization. Then the armored captor blasted her with his rifle, and blue lightning arced across her body. Then she drop ped to the floor unconscious. "Hold that thought." Serena cried out and rushed over to Terra's lifeless body and checked her wrist for a pulse, there was one, but very faint. "Now, as I was saying: meet me outside your house. Remember that." He motioned to Terra. Serena didn't know what he was going to do, but after seeing what he did to Terra, she didn't argue the point further. She gently placed Terra on the floor and rushed downstairs and out the door, the rest of the family not even noticing. The strange man was waiting for her, the rifle still in his right hand, but also Terra was slung over his left shoulder. "Now, follow me. If you try to run, I'll have to do this the hard way." "Wait, who are you?" "I already told you that you didn't need to know! Now, follow me!" He turned and walked down the block, Serena closely following. Oddly, no one was outside. Then it hit her. "This is all a dream! That's why you're here! I can walk away right now, and I'll just wake up like nothing happened!" "I wouldn't try it if I were you." "Yeah, well, you're not me, mister gun-toting thug." She stuck her tngue out at him and turned away. "I'm leaving!" She started to walk away. Suddenly, she felt something hit her back, and her entire body went numb. Her last thought before blacking out was that maybe, just maybe, this wasn't a dream. ------------------------------ Lita approached Ami during their lunch break. "Have you seen Serena today? Usually she's begging me for some of my lunch right now because she forgot hers." Ami turned up from her lunch. "Maybe she remembered hers today." Lita burst out laughing. "Yeah right, Serena? Remember something?" She calmed down. "But the weird thing is Terra's missing too. Ami smiled. "Yes, it is rather unlike them..." The bell rang and other students finished their lunches. Lita started to walk away. "If you see her, tell her I'm looking for her!" She called back at Ami. "Sure, Lita!" But somewhere, in the back of her mind, Ami knew that smething was wrong. She didn't know how, only that she did know. And not knowing was what frightened her the most. ---------------------------------- Serena woke from her daze in a set of manacles. Her wrists and ankles were bound together by them. "Huh? Hey, where am I?" She also realized she was in darkness. "About time you woke up. Now, quiet so that I can fit this across your mouth." Serena couldn't see. But her captor apparently could. "Hey, wait a min-umph" "Ahh, perfect fit. Now, you stay still unti I can turn you over to your new masters." "Mmmph! Mm-Mm!" Serena struggled, but couldn't break free of the manacles or the strange device he put over her mouth to keep her quiet. "Oh you wanted to know my name, correct? I am Boba Fett, master bounty hunter. And you are my prize catch." Serena's eyes opened wide, and the light returned. The blindness must have been temporary. But the name she recognized. Wasn't he from the Star Wars? But that as impossible! "If you will excuse me, I have piloting to do." And the armored bounty hunter walked toward a door, and closed it behind him. "Pssst! Serena!" Serena turned her head and saw Terra in the same position she was: manacles holding her ankles and wrists together, but no mouthpiece. "MMph!" Serena tried to express her annoyance, but couldn't. It didn't matter anyway, she blacked out a moment afterward. ------------------------------------- "I hope for your sake that you are right, Admiral, or else, you will end up like that fool Ozzel." The Dark Lord of the Sith intoned. Admiral Piett flinched a bit. "Yes, Lord Vader. My source has confirmed that he has the Moon Princess aboard his..err..private ship and is bringing her into orbit above the planet." "Then, send a communique to the fleet, tell them we are jumping to hyperspace and coming out above the planet Earth." "Yes, M'lord." Piett waited until Darth Vader had left the bridge of his ship, then turned and walked to his Communications officer's panel on the bridge of the Executor. "Send that message to the fleet. We are leaving in 5 minutes." "Yes sir." The officer replied. "Squadron, we are jumping to hyperspace in 5, I repeat, that is 5 minutes. We are coming into orbit above the planet Earth. When you reach there, await further orders." Piett then turned and walked to his command chair. As he sat, he knew that something big was abroad. Perhaps this Princess was going to finally bring the death of the Rebellion. Then he turned to his viewscreen and stared out at the stars. --------------------------------------- While Ami was finishing a report for school, the telephone rang. "Hello?" She spoke into the phone. "Ami?" A worried voice answered. "Yes, who is this please?" "Ami, this is Mrs. Tsukino, Serena's mother?" "Oh, yes, what's wrong?" Suddenly, she got that tingling at the back of her mind again. "Well..." She started. "Have you seen Serena or Terra today? They never came home from school. I'm getting worried." Ami was about to tell here Serena and Terra hadn't come to school either, but decided not to worry her further. "I'm sorry, I haven't seen them." A sigh came from the other end of the line. "Thank you anyway, Ami." "I'm sorry I coudldn't help more, Mrs. Tsukino." "Goodbye." "Bye." Ami hung up the phone, and immediately took her communicator out. This is not good, she thought, not good at all. She then began to call the other Sailors. -------------------------- Alliance Commander Wedge Antilles sat at a table in one of the strangest restaurants he had ever seen. The patrons and servers all appeared to be animated, like the holovids he had seen when he was younger, but the strangest part was that HE was animated as well. Ah well, he thought, when on Tatooine... "Now, Wedge, does this seem as bad as you thought it would be?" The one who asked that was a fellow Commander in the alliance, albeit an unofficial one. His hair was blond, but for streaks of silver that ran through at some intervals. He was onlyabout 15, but one of the best pilots and politicists he ever knew. A hard combination to find. "Yeah, John, I have to say, much batter than the time at the Mos Eisley Cantina..." He placed emphasis on the last words of the sentence, mockingly. John had a feeling of mock hurt on his face. "Now come on! I didn't know there was a major meeting of bounty hunters that day! And I did get us out of that, didn't I?" Wedge laughed "Yeah, I guess slave-circiting their ships to follow us can be considered getting us out of there." John winced at the thought. "I'm sorry having to make you wait so long in their hands, I had to get the codes right. But since their ships were all modified freighters anyway, we got out alive." "You forget Boba Fett." Another wince. "Yes, I did forget. His ship was more custom-built than theirs. The slave-circuit would have taken me too long to decrypt." "Yeah, and now he's after you just to disintegrate you, just like the rest of them. I mean, with the price on your head, you'd think they'd wait." "They figure they'll catch a couple of us at once." A young girl walked over to the table."Can I get you anything else?" Wedge studied his half-full glass of the strange concoction they'd served him. Something called 'sake'. "No thanks, I'm fine." The girl turned toward John. "Nothing for me thanks." The girl nodded and walked to the tables where the other members of Rogue Squadron were sitting. Wedge tried to make his face as serious as he could. "Any word from Blue Squadron yet?" John stopped a moment, and considered that. "In Alliance Command's eyes, no. In mine, yes." Wedge felt his stomach tighten. John and Blue Squadron had some history of doing "imperative" missions. He didn't like the idea of using elite fighting units for non-Alliance missions, but it always seemed to pay off for them. John continued, "They've been doing some study on this planet's moon. A few days ago I got a report of a possible sighting of Avatars and a Firespray-class ship." "TIE Avengers? The hyperspace-capable Interceptors?" "The very same, and they also have deflector shields. I don't know what the Imperials want here, but it must be important. They had discontinued production on Avengers a while ago." "Yeah, but at least there were no TIE Defenders. But that's why you brought us here?" John smiled a sly grin. "Well, that and I haven't been here in a while." Wedge was about to ask why, when he remembered that if there was something he would need to know, John would tell him. He just hoped it wasn't anything like the Cantina incident. ----------------------- "Serena and Terra are BOTH missing?" Mina yelled and the temple grounds rumbled like an earthquake, as Artemis' eyes bulged from his skull. It wasn't like her sister to just disappear like this. Serena either. "What are we sitting around for? They've obviously been kidnapped or hurt!" Chris covered his ears and rubbed them a little. "First, we don't know where to start. Second, we don't know how a kidnapper could have gotten in without Serena's family noticing." Rei countered. "Unless they used magic." Lita turned. "And the 'they' was the Negaverse!" Ami jumped in. "Let's not jump to conclusions." Rei turned to her. "Who else could have done something like this?" Ami shook her head. "I just don't sense any Negaverse involvement." A small voice came from the stairs leading up to the temple. "Because..there..wasn't any..." Everyone turned to look at the stairs, where Luna was trying with all her strength to struggle to the top. Mina rushed over and picked her up, allowing the cat a single loud, breath of satisfaction nefore she started to talk again. "It..was an armored hunter..." Mina looked confused, as did the rest of them. "Huh?" Luna struggled to make herself clearer. "Bounty hunter, shot me with some sort of...stun weapon. I think he took...Serena..." The others still confused at this. Chris tried to ask something. "Did you get a name?" She did her best to nod. "Name was...Boba Fett..." Then she fainted. Rei suddely realized something. "Boba Fett, he was from the Star Wars Trilogy! But how would he have gotten here? How could he exist?" "A lot of strange things have happened," broke in Ami, "This is just one I can't logically explain." "Let's just hope we figure out what's happening." Chris finally said, "Or we may never see Serena or Terra again." -------------------------------------------
