Most artists I've come to know seem to develop their own style of painting and usually stick with a particular type of subject matter.
Landscapes for example. I don't think I will ever settle into only one style of painting and I'd get bored doing the same thing too many times in
a row. I do find the Space and Sea paintings enjoyable to make and will continue to add to those collections but in between them I often venture
into unknown territory.
This constant experimenting widens my appreciation of art and increases my own skill level but it presents a problem as an emerging artist trying to break into the art world in that I am all over the place with both content and styles. Most galleries would want a theme, one that fits in with their own. This "fun" part of my web site is my sampler. My "theme" here is to show everything I can do. All of the one of a kind pieces, experiments, and even some of my student works are included here. I would be thrilled if everyone who surfed on would look at every painting but I know most people want to take a peek and move on.
