Armadus Voll
- The Jedi Master Armadus Voll is a Chandrilan by birth. He was born before the
Galactic Civil War began, but he remembers only what he was taught in his youth
about the events of the day. The iron hand of Emperor Palpatine clasped itself around Chandrila when Armadus
was thirty. His parents were killed and he was forced to work as a conscript in
the Imperial army.
- During a three year enlistment, Voll saw the atrocities
committed by the Empire. He went AWOL not long after the Battle of Yavin and the
destruction of Alderaan.
- Armadus resided in quiet solitude on the planet of Gall, in the Zahr system.
When Luke Skywalker began his search for new Jedi, Armadus left Gall to go to
Yavin in the hopes of helping Skywalker. Luke revealed Armadus' Force potential
to him and Armadus began training as a Jedi. His studies progressed until Voll
became a Jedi Master himself, teaching others what he has learned. His most
recent (and favorite) student Ibran Crissean is largely believed dead, but Voll
does not feel that is so.
- At 55 years old, Armadus Voll is a bearded, balding man whose remaining white
hair is tufted around the sides of his head. Voll's eyes are black, but do not
appear threatening. Overall, Voll has a grandfatherly appearance. He tends to
wear a red vest over a white tunic with black trousers most frequently.
- The losses in his life and tragedies he has witnessed have left Armadus a
saddened, gentle man. His Force powers are not as great as some of the other
Masters on the Jedi Council, but his innate sense of perception has guided many
a trainee away from the treacherous realms of the Dark Side. Some trainees see
him as a constantly sad man. The members of the Jedi Council know that Voll has
his reasons and his presence tends to temper disputes.
- Voll's main goal is the prevention of atrocities he
witnessed as an Imperial soldier. He will not resort to violence of any type to
achieve this except as an ultimate last resort. His fight against the Empire is
a passive one.
