Blackhawk Squadron

Blackhawk Squadron was formed when the former Captain Rigel Bismarck was ordered on one of his missions. He required a squadron of pilots that were good enough to go against twice their number with the necessary support and still come out in one piece. At first, the Blackhawk squadron was little more than a group of excellent dogfighters, but as the years went by, they developed the natural coordination that all experienced units have, although this has gone beyond simple coordination with Blackhawk. Their service to Rigel Bismarck, the Undertaker, is and has been excellent. Blackhawk has recently lost their fifth pilot, but before that they have not had a casualty for 3 years.

Grimo Yevest

• Grimo Yevest's name is a warning beacon serving a notice to all pilots with at least a decade of experience to get clear. Having been in the starfighter section of the Raithal Academy, Grimo knows what flying a starship is all about. Although he only graduated in the top 20% of his class, Grimo has stayed alive much longer than most of his classmates due to his excellent skills and his cautious tendencies.
• Grimo has always been the leader of a squadron. Although he lacks a natural gift for tactics, he has been known to come up with several "on the spot" lifesaving manuevers. Having graduated from the Academy at age 19, Grimo now has close to two decades of flying experience. It was his skills as a pilot that attracted the attention of Admiral Rigel Bismarck, also known as the Undertaker.
• When Bismarck sent a request in for a new elite squadron of pilots, he specifically requested Grimo for several personal reasons. The two have now been together for 6 years, and Grimo knows better than to question the Admiral's plans.
• Recently, Grimo has decided that the Admiral's tactical abilities are among that of the masters, and has decided to develop his own skills in that area so as to better assist the Admiral in his efforts to crush the Rebellion.
• When out of his black flight suit with the Blackhawk insignia on it, Grimo prefers to wear a dark brown tunic and loose fitting brown trousers. His hair is black and cut short and his eyes are are a dark red. He has a scar across the back of his neck that no one has
  ever asked about, although many would like to.
• Grimo is an able leader, with a tendency to inspire his men to act under him in an extremely coordinated fashion. He follows orders as best he can while leaving room for interpretation if necessary. His ability to be coolheaded and sensible even in the heat of battle has not gone unnoticed, especially by his enemies.
• Grimo's ambitions are simple. In his own words, he wants to "become the best pilot I can be while exterminating all the Rebels I can along the way. I will serve the Empire as long as I can, and should I live to retirement age, I shall get a nice house in the country somewhere, live there for a while, then go back to the Academy to train the next wave of pilots to fight against the Rebellion."
