Special Abilities: Visual & Audio Acuity: Neeks have
sharp eyesight and hearing for detecting threats to the flock.
Size: .25-.5 meters
Capsule: Neeks congregate in avian-like flocks for the purpose of
greater protection against predators and for efficient hunting. A
secondary purpose for the flock is for breeding and general camaraderie.
The herbivorous reptiles serve as food for larger beasts. Their major
defense is the need for only one to two hours of sleep per day, allowing them to
sleep in "shifts" so that at least a quarter of the flock remains
awake at all times to raise an alarm in the event of attackers.
Their large eyes can dilate and expand to absorb any amount of light they need
to see their surroundings, no matter what time of day or night. A
collection of holes on their long necks capture sound waves.
The origin world for this species is not known. Explorers have been known
to bring two or three neeks along when checking new worlds or terrain since the
creatures can pick up any sign of danger before it strikes. Because of
this, neeks have spread throughout several planets in the Outer Rim
