Capsule:
The natural enemy of the Hoska (on Essowyn) are the Terecon.  These reptiles have four short, powerful legs.  They are found in groups of at least a dozen and can strike at a hoska herd with terrifying swiftness.  They are able to burrow into the ground and wait for a hoska herd to pass nearby, and can wait for months between meals.
Watching a group of terecon burst out of the ground with no warning is a nightmarish thing to behold.  The mere scent of a terecon can cause entire hoska herds to stampede, a fact that the indigenous Saurtans of Essowyn use to great advantage when hunting hoska.  Terecons rarely attack humans, Saurtons, or other species unless they happen to be caught in the middle of an attack on a herd of hoska.

Capsule:
These huge lizards have black, brown, or drab green hides and their tails account for nearly half of their length.  They are covered with smooth scales, triangular in shape, and a crest of small spikes runs from their snout to the beginning of their tail.  They have a long triangular head with a large upper skull.  The Thevaxan Marauder is a solitary hunter, but some unfortunates have happened upon a female's nest which can have 1-4 eggs or several young hatchlings.  Though not as deadly as an adult, several young Thevaxan Marauders can create havoc for a group of hunters or explorers.  These beasts have many great survival advantages, but stealth is not one of them.  It can be heard stomping its way through a swamp from quite a distance; it relies on sheer strength to overwhelm whatever comes its way.  The creature is easily outwitted or confused.
Frequency:
  Rare
