Vicci Neross

• Vicci Neross was born on Alderaan, the third of eight children, and lived with her extended family in an agricultural community on the shores of Lir Lake.  It was a perfect place to spend her childhood; Vicci's early years were balanced between a liberal education in art and culture in the island city of Belleau-a-Lir and freedom to wander the hills and shores of her peaceful home.
• The many hours she spent gathering t'iil blossoms for the family l'lahsh distillery seemed much more like play than work to her.  The distinctive blue-green Alderaanian liquor takes a great deal of effort to produce; despite the high price l'lahsh commands, the huge number of people involved in its production counts most of the profits it brings in.  Most members of the Neross family, therefore, were expected to work for the distillery from a very early age.  Vicci would have been content never to have left that life.
• Vicci began her training three years prior to the destruction of Alderaan.  At the age of 13 she was discovered by the Omwati Jedi Master, Teyan Tannis.  At that time her parents were alarmed when the Omwati arrived on Alderaan and began showing an interest in their daughter - they had no idea of the blue-skinned alien's intentions.  Tannis' explanation that she was searching for Force-sensitive individuals to train as Jedi Knights had hardly reassured them.  
• Of course the Neross family was hesitant to allow their daughter become a Jedi, considering the perils of her being hunted down by the Empire and the possibility that Imperial forces would visit them under those circumstances as well.  It was with great reluctance that they relented, however, as they saw it as an honor that their daughter would be chosen to hopefully continue the Jedi Order that the Empire had been struggling to destroy.  
• Master Tannis took her young apprentice away from Alderaan to a planet that has remained unnamed by either Vicci or Master Tannis.  There they trained in solitude and isolation until a time when Teyan Tannis believed Vicci was ready for her trials to become a Jedi Knight. 
• As a Jedi Master Vicci is a strict taskmaster; however, her peaceful demeanor outside of tutoring sessions is successful at sparking necessary trust and long-term friendships between her and her students.
