To recognize Squall's Spooky Corner's first anniversary (this site officially went online August 1997), I created an award to honour other web pages for their outstanding achievements. While the award is no longer being given out, sites were judged based on the following criteria:

The Spooky Award is open to any site, regardless of theme. But before you apply, please note that I will NOT award sites with:

• Any type of degrading, hateful or offensive content/material.
• Backgrounds, text, etc., that are impossible to read; broken links and/or pages/pictures that will not load; missing links, unmarked pages, hidden pages (in other words, if I can't easily navigate your site or read what you have posted, I can't give you an award).
• Please, if you are already a recipient of the Spooky Award, do not apply again! If you are unsure, check the list of winners that appears below to ensure your site is not already listed. If it is, then you are already a winner, and you don't need to apply again.

Remember, I can't give an award to every site.

• Info for Past Winners: if you are a winner of my award, and at any time your site information changes (ie: if your site is moving to a different URL, shutting down, etc) please advise me of the changes so I can update the links. I will be running maintenance checks on this page from time to time, and if I discover a broken link, I will have to remove it unless I receive updated information from you. Please keep me informed of your site's status if you want your site to remain listed.
