The Last Unicorn
This is another of my favorite fantasy movies. It is full of all the wonder and beauty of unicorns. The story starts with two hunters traveling in a strange forest. The elder of the two, recognizing the signs of a protected forest, tells the unicorn to remain where it is, for it is the last. Hearing this and disbelieving, the unicorn decides to find out what became of the other unicorns. When told by a strange butterfly that they had been captured by the Red Bull, she vows to rescue them or join them.
Along the journey, she is captured by an amateur witch and illusionist. She is assisted in escaping by the bumbling circus magician. Their travels lead them next to a den of theives. Here they are joined by Molly, a old young woman who had been waiting all her life to see a unicorn.
From their the path leads them to the castle of King Haggard, keeper of the Red Bull. There the unicorn, must discover what became of the other unicorns.
This movie is filled with magic, love and enchantment that make it a film worth watching. Some of the big names that provide the voices are Angela Lansbury, Mia Farrow and Beau Bridges.
