The Arhainii are hit and run experts that excel at choosing the right moment to strike their foe using the terrain to its greatest effect. To represent this ability you may reroll any result when rolling on the terrain table. The second result must be kept even if it worse than the first result.
The Arhainii do not get ambushed. Ever. If you play an ambush scenario then the Arhainii will always be the attacker.
In this variation on the Ambush theme, the army being ambushed has a number of baggage points which represent stuff the Arhainii player is trying to steal. Except where noted below, Raid functions exactly like an Ambush.
The defender cannot place models closer than 18" to the edge of the table to which they are marching. Each unit of 5 or more models in the defending army (not flyers) have D3 Baggage Points. For each defending unit that gets destroyed the Arhainii army gains bonus victory points equal to the baggage points the unit was carrying. For every defending unit that moves off the table edge in the direction they are marching, the defender gains bonus victory points equal to the VP value of the unit plus any baggage points. Other VPs are calculated as normal except no VPs are given for possession of table quarters.
Eg: A unit of 20 Empire Swordsmen carrying 2 baggage points is worth 3 VPs to the Arhainii if destroyed and 3 VPs to the defender if they move off the board from the right edge (1VP because they cost 140 pts, and 2 for the 2 baggage points).
