At the battle of Finuval plain, Teclis defeated the Witch king in magical combat, before turning the tide of the battle against the Dark Elves. However Teclis could not have done it entirely with out help, for while he and the Witch king duelled, Shanyr was manipulating the winds of magic to aid Teclis. Shanyr is one of the few mages who are proficient in actually controlling (to a small degree) the winds of magic. In battle he controls the flow of magical energy to help his fellow wizards or to help himself. Shanyr was born to two Sapherian mages and was thus marked for greatness. He studied at the tower of Hoeth under Belannaer himself, but soon realised his greatest potential was to manipulate the winds of magic. Shanyr has created several magical items that help him control the magical energy in the heat of a battle.

Special Rule
Winds of Magic. As an expert on manipulating the winds of magic Shanyr
receives +1 magic cards every magic phase. This may be used by any wizards on his side.

Shanyr carries three magic items the first two are unique to him and only he may use them, the other is available in warhammer magic.
The Chalice of Fate

Shanyr carries a magic chalice that allows him to change the flow of magical energy, when
he drinks it's magical water. The Chalice of Fate allows Shanyr to re-roll the number of
winds of magic cards, he may do this in both players' magic phases.
Magic Mirror Scroll
Wizard Arcana...................50 points
This scroll contains a powerful anti-magic enchantment, when read it twists the spell cast
back at whoever cast it. This scroll may be used to rebound any hostile spell cast at any
friendly unit, the spell reflects off an invisible magic mirror and effects the caster
instead of the target.
The Wand of Jet
Wizard Arcana...................50 points
This is a magical wand carved out of jet, it is midnight black with powerful runes
engraved on it, giving Shanyr the power he needs to cast his spells. The Wand of Jet
allows Shanyr to cast his spells for one power card less than usual, a power one spell may
be cast for free. After use roll a dice on a roll of 1 or 2 the power of the wand is
temporarily exhausted, and may not be used for the remainder of the battle.
