(Wood Elves Special Character)
Camdlyf is a master hunter and warrior of great skill, but an also an outcast from his people. As a youth he studied the use of sword and bow under the tutorage of the waywatchers, and would often join them in defending the borders of Athel Loren. However, he did not like the way the waywatchers did battle, shooting their foes and then melting back into the trees. He yearned to fight his enemy face to face. Upon one occasion when orcish raiders came in a raiding party, Camdlyf jumped down from his hidden position and leapt toward the nearest enemy, his blade whirling skillfuly. He cut down his first foe in lightning-quick strokes and looked up to take the next enemy. One of the orcs threw a spear at him, but Camdlyf easily dodged aside, catching the spear in midair and hurtling it back, impaling it's owner. Camdlyf's fellow waywatchers looked on in amazement as the enraged elf felled orc after orc. They realised that the battle rage had come upon him, and marveled, for none of their people had experienced this for many generations. Skillfully, the waywatchers picked off those orcs who stood outside the swath of Camdlyf's blade, and the other greenskins soon fled in terror. Yet when Camdly'f fellows came down to congradulate him, he did not recognise them because of the battle fury, and set upon them, slaying one with his sword. The rest fled from him. When the elves returned home, they reported all that had happened, and Orion, the god-king of the woodelves decreed that Camlyf was an outlaw, and would have sent out huntsmen to capture him and bring the elf in for judgement, but Ariel reached out her hand and stayed the king, saying that Camlyf was not at fault, but was cursed by the gods already with his frenzy. She declared that Camlyf be left in peace, though he must remain upon the borders for he was too dangerous and not in full control of himself. He must defend the borders of Athel Loren as he always had, but that he must live his life now as a solitary ranger. She sent messengers to tell him of his fate, and gave them a sword to give him, crafted by her own hand and imbued with great magic to comfort him. The messengers found Camlyf upon the spot of the battle still, squatting among the rotting corpses of orcs, but the elf he had slain was buried. Camlyf stood like one in a trance, and did not recognise the arrival of the messengers until they stood before him. They told him the Queen's doom and presented him with her gift, the Sword of Woe. He accepted the judgement with a grim face, and took up the great sword eagerly. Since then, the solitary ranger defended the borders of Athel Loren, often issuing out from the shadowy eaves and into battle to aid his kin, but always to melt back into the forest when the fighting was done.

The Sword of Woe
In it's forging it was dipped in oils collected from the tree of woe and sung over with
spells of power by Ariel herself. Because of this, Camlyf does not have to strike last,
but uses his own initiative.
