Your army may be lead by Lord Galeamor. If you decide to do this he will replace the general in the main army list.

Lord Galeamor is one of the most respected Elven lords of the of the Kindred of the Equos. He watches over one of the largest herd of horses in Athel Loren, quickly slaying any invaders who might harm them. It is believed that when the High Elves attempted to colonise the Old World, one of Galeamor’s ancestors was the first to arrive and that he held a high position in the defence of the colonies. Some think that the lord’s great grandfather was a personal friend of the phoenix king, entrusted with the very sword that lord Galeamor carries today. However, all this is mere speculation and the Wood Elves are no longer interested in their ancestors living in Ulthuan.

Lord Galeamor is most famous for his stunning victories in Bretonnia over the Skaven. He decisively won several battles between the cities of Brionne and Quenelles. In fact, some Brettonians even remarked (among themselves of course) that Galeamor was a superior general to Caradel the Wrathful :- the lord appointed supreme commander of the wood elf forces at the time. He also lead succesful attacks on the Heinrich Kemmler’s undead horde helping to drive the foul being from the realm of Athel Loren.

MAGIC ITEMS

Ogre Blade

The Ogre Blade has rested at Galeamor’s side since his birth and it’s power is respected by all the Elves he leads into battle.

There is an old tale of how this specific weapon came to be and it is believed that its origins are the ancient Elven realm of Ulthuan. The island was under attack from Orcs, and one of the Elves fighting them was Kahedra, an old war hero with substantial fighting ability. The Elves were finding it extremely difficult to defeat the Orcs, and with another encounter against an even stronger Orc force being inevitable, their was a feeling of scepticism in the Elven camp. No reinforcements had arrived and their was a large possibility that the entire force would be wiped out. Kahedra was unable to sleep the whole night. He sat up the whole night trying to figure a way to defeat the Orcs but every idea he came up with seemed to be countered by something in the Orc force. Eventually he gave in and slumped to the ground with a defeated groan. It was then that images came to him in his sleep and that his sword had been inscribed with great power. Upon waking from his slumber, Kahedra recalled the dream and pulled his sword from its hilt. The sword was now inscribed with magical runes although it soon dawned upon him that he felt no different wielding his new weapon. Kahedra lead a regiment of Spearmen into battle the following day and although the Elves fought hard, they couldn’t contain the sheer numbers of the greenskin horde.

Eventually, Kahedra found himself fighting a large number of ogres. These massive beings were crushing his men with ease. In a desperate attempt to harm one of the ogres, Kahedra tried to bring his sword down upon the creatures chest. The Ogre blocked the blow with his hand. Kahedra pressed the sword so hard that it started to draw blood. All of a sudden, there was a large and abnormal surge in the winds of magic that passed by the ensuing forces. There was a large explosion and Kahedra and the spearmen were forced back by its force. When the elves regrouped to continue fighting the ogres they realised that they had exploded in the explosion and only a few scattered limbs remained. Kahedra now felt a great deal of power radiating from the sword. This power greatly increased his strength. The weapon soon turned the tide of the battle and the orcs were eventually defeated, although it had been a bloody victory.

The Phoenix King himself asked to see Kahedra, after such an astonishing victory and when he died, the ogre blade became a possession of the phoenix king himself. It is believed that it was then sent with an elven lord to Ulthuan so that it could help protect the colonies. This explains its existence on Athel Loren.

Armour of Protection

In many battles, Galeamor favoured a tactic of charging forward with his Glade Riders while under a spell of protection. This way the Glade Riders could absorb enemy missile fire. Galeamor then asked one of the High Mages in Athel Loren if it was possible to inscribe the spell into a suit of heavy armour. The mage told Galeamor that this was possible but would take a long time to stabilise.

The armour was completed after many years of attempting to permanently bind the runes into the armour. It is now considered one of the most potent suits of armour in Athel Loren

The Armour of Protection provides a heavy armour save (5+). If the wearer fails this save he gets a special save of 4+.

Amber Amulet

The Amber Amulet was a gift from Orion and Ariel in recognition of Lord Galeamor’s fantastic achievements. Any wounds the wearer suffers magically seal up.

Any model wearing the Amulet regains 1 wound per turn. He/She may not go above their original wounds value.
