The island outpost of Fyrus seemed a good place for the monks of the holy order of Saint Origo to build a monastery. True; Fyrus did lie but a dozen miles from the coasts of Araby, it was the birthplace of the revered Arabian holy Man Mullah Aklan'd, and its harbourdid control the main east-west trade routes: but the brother knights of the order decided Fyrus would make an ideal place to rest and meditate. They started by kicjing out all of the natives and building a huge fortress. This they called 'The Holy Monastery of the Divine Origo'.
When the good brothers found their prayer disturbed by Arabian pirates and the continued complaints of the disinherited, they reacted in the only way that they knew how. They built fleets, wiped the waterways clean of eastern ships, and fired every Arabian port within a hundred miles. For the purposes of this special 'Mission of charity' the Grand Master of the Order designed the special uniform and banner discussed here.
The Knights returned to a life of peace and contemplation, disturbed only by the annual charitable excursions amongst the Arabians; burning, looting and pilaging the heathen coasts. After a few years of this routine they were shaken from their solitude by a vast army of Easterners. These fould despoilers and cut-throats laid seige to and completely destroyed the monastery. Many of the orders Knights were slain in this unprovoked attack, but a large company escaped. Under their new Grand Master, Sir John Tyrweld, and aided by the Orders champion Donna Don Domingio, the Order reformed in the West.
From then on the Comapny crusaded extensively against the enemies of 'All Right Think Folk' and gained a considerable reputation from their foes. Amongst the Goblins they became renowned as 'The Frothers' whilst the Easterners dubbed Sir John 'The Foaming One'.
Battlecry : The motto of the order is 'Peace and Justice' and is often shouted in moments of righteous indignation. Sir John Tyrwelds own family motto is 'Only the Sword Purifies'.
Deeds : Sir Johns daring raid on the Palace of the Grand Vizer must rank as one of his most famous exploits. On this occasion a hanful of Knights rid the world of several hundred heathen souls and liberated many riches. These were then distributed amongst the poor and needy.
Uniforms : The Knights wear heavy armour with a surcoat over the top. The Surcoat is red, symbolising the 'Blood that was shed so the others may go on'. This is specifically the blood of their enemies.
The shield is the badge of the Order of Origo.
If you wish to include the Knights of Origo in your army you must take both Sir John and Donna Don Domingio. The Knights are all subject to Frenzy. As they will always countercharge, the Knights will always be frenzied in their first round of each hand to hand combat, even if they are charged themselves.
