Ming Special Characters

Jorgatai..............................................184 points + 45 points The Ivory Bow

Jorgatai is one of the finest Ming-bashi of the Ming Empire.  He is also a renowned archer, and is considered to be one of the finest shots with his bow in all the Empire.  It is said that he can fire an arrow through the eye-slit of a helmet from a hundred yards at a full gallop.  Jorgatai has fought in many battles and has gained fame over a period of many years.  He was once severely wounded while fighting against the Beastmen of the Northlands and he has carried a hatred for them to this day.   Jorgatai would rather be mounted on a horse leading troops into battle than to be at the court of the Great Khan.  He is first and foremost a warrior, and is more comfortable in the company of other warriors.  He is somewhat of a boisterous character and he enjoys the rough life of campaigning.  Jorgatai has the bowed legs of the born horseman and the thick sinews of the archer and swordsman that he is.

The Ivory Bow...............................45 points

The Ivory Bow is an ancient weapon so named for its ivory colour.   The bow has been passed down through Jorgatai's family for as long as anyone can remember.

The Ivory Bow has a range of 36", and hits with a Strength of 5.  The bearer may fire the bow a number of times equal to his Attacks characteristic (A4 = 4 shots).  Hits from the bow's arrows are deemed to be magical and so will affect creatures that are immune to ordinary, non-magical bow hits.  Hits from the Ivory Bow will modify the armour save of magic armour.
