The Grey Seers are the Horned Rat's representatives and servants among Skaven society. They are free of all Clan loyalties, and answer only to the Council of Thirteen and the Horned Rat himself. Grey Seers are highly respected and feared in Skaven society, few dare to interfere in Grey Seer activities and even fewer would think to attack the Grey Seer as any intervention in Grey Seer affairs is immediately punishable by death.

CHARACTERS
The Grey Seers are the Horned Rat's representatives and servants among Skaven society. They are free of all Clan loyalties, and answer only to the Council of Thirteen and the Horned Rat himself. This also mean that they are free to pursue their own agendas and even though they are not allowed to maintain a standing army of their own they comission troops from loyal Warlord Clans. The "armies" of the Grey Seers can reach almost anywhere in Skavendom and they often raid surface settlements in search of gold and slaves to boost their personal power.
1+ GREY SEERS
The Grey Seers are ruthless Skaven with great magical and political power. Even the lowest
Grey Seer Champion is higher than a battlehardened Chieftain in political power.

THE VERMINLORDS
A Verminlord is two or three times the size of a Skaven and their heads are bedecked
with twisted spiralling horns and sloughing flesh, in mimicry of their Patron Lord. They
are surrounded by an aura of creeping decay and inscrutable knowledge. Their bodies are
leprous and Warpstone charms hang from or are incorporated into their very flesh. Some
Verminlords wear robes similar to those of the Order of Grey Seers with red runes painted
over them. A Verminlord is wiser and more wicked than any living Skaven and yet retains
its mortal lust for power and love of betrayal. In particular, the Verminlords work
ceaseless to gain access to the mortal world and are prepared to offer anything to those
foolish or weak enough to listen.
See Warhammer Armies Skaven. Although the cost should be 500 pts and the magical level and Doom Glaive should be bought as Daemonic rewards from the Realm of Chaos. The Doom Glaive cost 50 pts.
PERSONAL CHAMPION
Each Grey Seer may be accompanied by a single Personal Champion. They are the best
warriors drawn from the Seer Guard and have sworn to defend the Grey Seer or die trying.
The Personal Champion is the Grey Seers personal bodyguard and they take their assignment
very seriously. The Grey Seer can often command more Seer Guards to guard his temple but
the bodyguard is always present.

CLANRATS
The Order of Grey Seers frequently comission troops from loyal Warlord Clans to fight
on their behalf with the Grey Seers as generals.
See Warhammer Armies Skaven.
SLAVES
The Grey Seers care little of the slaves that they order to screen the Clanrats.
See Warhammer Armies Skaven.
MONSTERS
The Order of Grey Seer do not keep monsters in their holds so if you want to include monsters in your Grey Seer army then you have to buy them as allies from the Clan Moulder army list. A monster mount for a character is bought as an ally but its cost is considered toward the 50% character limit. There are however always plenty of rats available that can be whipped together in swarms and sent against the enemy.
Ratswarms
Although the Grey Seers don't employ monsters in their armies there is a use for the
ratswarms that inhabit their strongholds and lairs. The rats can overwhelm even the
stoutest dwarf tunnelfighter and buy their larger cousins valuable time to close the
distance.
See Warhammer Armies Skaven.
