Special Units are extremely
specialised troops that appear on the battlefield less often than basic regiments. There
is a maximum number of Special Units that can be fielded, and this varies with the size of
the army (see "Armies of Albion"). |

Weapons: The Mamluks wear heavy armour and carry a shield, and
ride barded warhorses. They are armed with a sword and a lance.
Options:
- Upgrade one Mamluk into a Musician for +6 pts.
- Upgrade one Mamluk into a Standard Bearer for +12 pts.
- Promote one Mamluk to a Champion for +10 pts.
- One unit that contains a Standard Bearer may carry a magic standard worth up to
50 pts.
Special Rules:
Lance Formation. Mamluks may use the Lance
formation.
Immune to Psychology. The Mamluks are totally without fear
due to their religious zeal and their loyalty oaths to the Sultan, so they are immune to
all psychology, Break and Panic tests.
