Heroes (Heroes, Swordmasters, Assassins, Magi, and Shamans) make great leaders for regiments.

The total number of characters you can field in your army can be found in the "Armies of The Gorrum Empire" section.

*BATTLE STANDARD BEARER
One Hero in the army may carry the Battle Standard for +25 pts.

The Battle Standard Bearer cannot be the army's General even if he has the highest Leadership value in the army.

The Battle Standard Bearer cannot choose any non-magical equipment except for light or heavy armour.

He cannot be mounted on a Wyvern or Griffon.

The Battle Standard Bearer may have any magic banner (no points limit), but if he carries a magic banner he cannot carry any other magic item.

GORRUM CHI HERO*

Points/model: 100


The Gorrum Chi are huge muscular beings.  They are brown-skinned with black eyes and hair and tend to wear long drooping mustaches.  They stand over seven feet tall, and they are wide and bulky of build.

Weapons: Hand weapon.

Options:

  • May choose either a great weapon (+4 pts) or an additional hand weapon (+4 pts), or a spear if mounted (+2 pts).
  • May wear either light armour (+2 pts) ore heavy armour (+4 pts), and may also carry a shield (+2 pts).
  • May ride either a war boar (+16 pts), a dragonnel (+21 pts), or may ride in a Chariot which has been included in the army as a Special Unit choice at the points cost shown there, displacing one of the Chariot's normal crew.
  • May choose magic items from the Common or Gorrum Empire magic item lists, with a maximum total value of 50 pts.

GORRUM HERO*

Points/model: 75


Gorrum are by far the most numerous of all the races of the Gorrum Empire.  They are large, hulking beings with massive muscles who are smaller than Gorrum Chi but larger than Gorrul.  They have brown skins, black hair, and black eyes.  They prefer brightly coloured clothing and decorated armour.  They are a warrior caste who are born and bred to fight.

GORRUL HEROES*

The Gorrul are wiry, slim beings with brown skin, dark eyes and hair.  They don't have the massive muscles of their cousins, but they make up for it with agility and speed.

GORRBA HEROES*

Points/model: 35


The Gorrbas are small of stature, and lightly built.  They are more rustic than the other races of the Empire, living in the deep forest and in mountain caves and tunnels underground.  Some are foresters, while others are miners in the mines of the Empire.   They have dark brown skin, and they tend to wear clothing of earth colours.

Swordmasters dedicate themselves to mastering the sword in all its different variations.  They train for hours daily to perfect their skills with the blade.  Most are guards and attendants upon the Temples of Parjanya.

0-1 GORRUL ASSASSIN*

Points/model: 120


Gorrul Assassins are priests of the goddess Kari, and they are trained to kill silently and to eliminate any threat to the Empire or Kari.  These are the death dealers, the shadows, the spiders, who strike without warning.

GORRUM MAGI

Points/model: 70


Some Gorrum are born with a proclivity toward magic, alchemy, and astronomy, and these become the Magi, Alchemists, and Seers of the Empire.

Magic: A Gorrum Magi is a Level 1 Wizard.  He may choose one of the following Lores: Life; Fire; Heavens.

Options:

  • May be upgraded to a Level 2 Wizard for +35 pts.
  • May ride either a war boar (+16 pts), a dragonnel (+21 pts), or may ride in a Chariot which has been included in the army as a Special Unit choice at the points cost shown there, displacing one of the Chariot's normal crew.
  • May choose magic items from the Common or Gorrum Empire magic item lists, with a maximum total value of 100 pts.

GORRBA SHAMAN

Points/model: 65


The Gorrba Shamans are the magic users of the Gorrba race.  They use ancient rituals to pull the winds of magic to themselves and cast spells.
