For many years, I have kept two candles in each window. I always thought they would guide you safely home. They are still shining but your lights have gone out.
Bill, you didn't come home for such a long time but the candles were always on to guide you back. The day you finally found your way home was such a happy day. Little did we know it would be your last trip. We didn't know you would become so unhappy that you would take your own life on April 22, 2000. We didn't know your brother would race from Louisanna to Florida to see you for all of us one last time just to BE SURE.
Mike, we spent so many hours waiting for you to come racing home for Christmas or just because you were so homesick. So many trips from Louisanna JUST BECAUSE. The candles were always on for you. On May 22, 2000, just one month to the day after your brother left us, you went swimming. Why didn't you make it to the other side of that lake? We will never know in this lifetime.
Now both you lights have gone out and we will never see your wonderful smiles again. You lay side by side as you did we you were little boys but now you are so still.
Never again will we hear "I LOVE YOU MORE" or "IS DIAL-A-MECHANIC HOME". Just pictures and memories are all that's left and that's just not enough. Not enough time or enough pictures/ Not enough I love you's or enough hugs and kisses. Not enough of anything.
Your children, sister and parents will always miss you and wonder WHY.
