Kiara

WeaverCraft Senior Apprentice - Ista Weyr

Kiara is 4' 10", with an average build. She is right handed, with an ivory complexion. Small-boned, with small hands and feet, Kiara somehow does not appear delicate. She moves with confidence and serenity. Her nose is neither snub nor aristocratic, but somewhere in between. Her small hands are deft and quite strong. Her forehead is high, her face a mixture of heart and oval shapes. Her eyes are emerald green, a stunning contrast to the shoulder-length curly red-gold hair that frames her face when not pulled back. She has a beautiful soprano voice, both singing and speaking, which is fortuante as she is almost always singing. She is usually cheerful, yet occaisonally there is an air of saddness about her.

Kiara wears the lavender and white knot of a Weavercraft Sr. Apprentice with the additions of two ribbons--one black, the other bright orange--that show her posting to Ista Weyr.

Born in Igen Sea Hold, Kiara moved to Ista Hold with her two sibs when she was a couple months away from her 17th birthday. Shortly after said birthday and following the Amber Star Presentation, she became a weaver. Not far past that came her first meeting with her mentor-to-be at his promotion to Sr. Apprentice. Within a few months, she was transfered to the Weyr, gaining confidence in her skill and experimenting--which led to her promotion to Sr. Apprentice at the age of 18. Now 20 and some, she resides happily at the Weyr, hoping to make Journeyman fairly soon so that she might possibly become the official WeyrWeaver. She wishes that her love would be transfered to the Weyr, but for the moment buries herself in work, takes care of her dog and four flits, sings, and plots to entice a certain weyrbrat into the craft. Just kidding! No, she merely taught the child a lesson on how to make a simple pair of shoes, much to the enjoyment of both, and they are now working on crocheting a blanket.
