124. Call to Arms

Summary

The Dominion has been sending weekly caravans to Cardassia. In order to stop them, Starfleet authorizes Sisko to place a minefield at the entrance to the wormhole. With war now imminent, a Bajor/Dominion non-aggression pact is signed with Sisko's endorsement, to ensure Bajor's survival. The Dominion attacks; the station and Martok's ship fight them until the Defiant finishes setting the minefield. Sisko retreats with all Starfleet personnel, promising to return; but Jake has remained, as have Odo, Kira, Quark, and Rom. Dukat makes his triumphant return to his old post--even as the Defiant joins the Starfleet task force.
