125. A Time to Stand

Summary

A. It is three months after the beginning of the war, and things look bleak for the Federation. After a major defeat for Starfleet, Sisko and his crew are taken off the Defiant and given a new assignment. Their mission is to take the Jem'Hadar ship Sisko captured last year (in "The Ship") and destroy what is believed to be the main Ketracel-white storage facility in the Alpha Quadrant, deep in Cardassian space. Sisko and crew manage to plant a bomb on the facility, but are barely able to escape the detonation, which leaves them limping without a warp drive through hostile space.

B. Meanwhile, Bajorans return to DS9 under the Dominion treaty. At Kira's urging, Odo demands the reinstatement of his security force, which Weyoun grants in exchange for Odo joining the station's ruling council.
