39. Blood Oath

Summary

An old Klingon, Kor, is given a night in a cell by Odo to sleep off a drinking binge. Dax unexpectedly takes an interest and has Odo release Kor to her custody. Kor, and his companions Kang and Koloth, are on the station to seek Dax's aid in fulfilling a blood oath they made eighty years ago: to kill the Albino, a pirate who murdered the Klingons' firstborn sons. Dax was Curzon Dax at the time, and swore the oath with them. Kang, who hadn't been expecting Dax to now be in a female host, is reluctant to let her join them, but she wins him over. They find the Albino and, after a bloody battle, manage to kill him.Ê However, Kang and Koloth also die in the attempt.
