41. The Maquis, Part II

Summary

With Quark in a holding cell as an accomplice, Sisko becomes convinced of the Maquis' story that Cardassian Central Command is smuggling weapons to their colonists in the DMZ. The DS9 officers hunt for traces of where the Maquis have taken Dukat, and eventually are able to track and rescue him. Sakonna, captured in the raid, is persuaded by Quark to talk. She tells Sisko that the Maquis plan to attack a Cardassian weapons depot. After trying and failing to convince Hudson to rejoin Starfleet, Sisko leads a mission of the DS9 runabouts to stop the Maquis attack. They are successful in preventing it, and Sisko lets Hudson go, but wonders if he has only delayed a war.
