Summary

A. After putting it off for years, Dax finally undergoes the zhian'tara ritual, in which she will meet her past hosts, embodied by other people; the other officers, plus Quark and Leeta, agree to serve as "hosts". The first five such meetings go smoothly; Joran, in Sisko, attacks Jadzia but is subdued. The one Jadzia is nervous about is Curzon, since he had field-evaluated her as a candidate, and recommended her dismissal. Curzon, hosted by Odo, decides he likes being in a Changeling body and will stay there. When Jadzia finally confronts him, Curzon confesses that the reason he washed her out was that he had fallen in love with her. Jadzia convinces him to return to live on in the symbiont.

B. Nog's spatial-orientation test for admission to Starfleet Academy is sabotaged by Quark, but Rom gets Sisko to let Nog re-take it.
