82. Our Man Bashir

Summary

As Bashir is joined by Garak in his holo-recreation of a 1960's spy novel, the Orinoco explodes due to sabotage by the True Way as it returns to the station with Sisko, Dax, Kira, Worf, and O'Brien. The five officers are beamed off, but with the transporters malfunctioning, the patterns must be stored in any available computer space. The physical patterns end up in Bashir's holoprogram, as characters. Bashir must keep the program going and ensure that none of the characters are killed. He ends up saving them by destroying Earth within the story, and the patterns are successfully re-integrated.
