86. Return to Grace

Summary

Kira is set to attend a Bajoran/Cardassian conference on Korma. Transporting her is Dukat, who after acknowledging his half-Bajoran daughter is now reduced to commanding a freighter; Ziyal is aboard as well. They find the outpost on Korma destroyed by a Klingon warship, which Dukat decides to pursue, aided by Kira. Dukat manages to switch ships with the Klingons, and destroys his freighter with the Klingons aboard. Against the wishes of the Detepa Council, he decides to strike out against the Klingons. Kira declines to join his cause, and takes Ziyal to live on DS9, to spare her the life of a renegade.
