Chapter 1

The Baos

- I am perceiving a fluctuation in the gravitational field . A power burble by vector 63/03n.- Said Arlo

- Incredible. Since thousands of years that we hadn't notice of that way of translation.- Nelo pointed out .

- I don't believe it's ours...except some kit stolen some museum sample. - Arlo utters

The radio scanners detected the mass : the object length were 6 meters , being an spheroid.

- It stops.- Arlo informs.

- Let's see what we find out. - Decided Nelo.

Arlo and Nelo were in a radio beam bubble, who begun to move fast. They were members of the Baos race, humanoids with pointed heads.

In less than 20 seconds they arrived at the side of the sphere, who was recently sprouted from the NO - Time, and it was standing over the sand , at the foot of a mountain.

Arlo and Nerlo walks out the Infundibulum, and knocked on the Sphere.

From inside a chain rattle came, and a naked head appears by a porthole.

- What do you want? - Said the being.

Arlo was aiming him a People's Searcher, who said immediately Terrestrial human, 48 years old, Yankee, overweight."

- Eh ?? I will not stand insults !"- Yells the spheroid's dweller.

Arlo made a quick research of languages in his head, and began to talk in the most common of the Earth's languages :=" Hail, Oh noble Lord ! We are a pair of students who are passing by, and seeing such a beautiful \sphere, we stop to explore."

- Ah! We are scouts, too."- Answer the bald man.

- Curly ! With who do you suppose are talking, you jerk ?"- Asked another human, looking by another porthole.

- With us, illustrious earthling. Apologizes us if we are boring you."- Managed to say Arlo ,the alien.

Larry { as that was the name of the newly appeared human} smile, and speaks in more civilized terms "- Oh, a pair of astronauts ! How do you do ?"

In that moment creaks the door lock, and out they went two persons, one of them a little bespectacled old man, and the other a half bald middle aged guy.

- Who are you, people ?"- Asked the guy.

- We are students , and our names are Arlo and Nelo. We assumed you belong to planet Earth, with an unknown destiny."- Arlo pointed out.

- As we are from Earth, yes. But our destiny it's to explore the Universe, Mr. alien."- Answered the little bespectacled man.

Then it appears the rest of the crew, coming from the inside of the vessel.

- Permit to introduce ourselves. I am Larry, the fat one is Curly, the jerky faced is Joe. Now, this ugly cook 's name is Chemp. Las but not least is Professor Ciropen, builder of the Sphere."- Larry said, with a pair of slaps.

- Most honored. Now you said, Professor Ciropen, you are exploring the Universe. What for ?"- Asked Nelo, recording the conversation.

- Ah ! I see you question us, being students...O.K., then I'll tell you we haven't in Earth attained the power to travel to the stars. All the fumbling it's reduced to a merry go round the planet Earth, with some ancient jumps to our satellite the Moon."- Said the Professor.

- That we know already. We have a neat surveillance of all the underdeveloped races of the Sky."- Lectured Nelo.

- We are trying to made a big round trip, and then return to Earth, teaching our findings and also giving the secret of our Sphere to the mankind."- Curly said, but Larry slaps him to be quiet.

Arlo and Nelo looked each other worriedly, but said nothing.

The professor ignored the aliens, and began taking samples of air, soil and of some plants they grow round the spot.

- We cannot leave this team be. We must take them to the Segregation Camp Number 34."- Nelo said to his companion.

- Yes, but I feel pity for this creatures...They look so stupid !"- Arlo spoke in a low voice.

- Now, Baos ! You cannot have a sweet three hearts , being in the Control Forces ! Now we go and gassed them all. We send them in the radio beam bubble, and that's it ! They will treat them kindly."- Adds Nelo, seeing the expression in the other's face.

- O.K., let's accomplish our sad mission."- Surrendered Arlo.

They approach the team, and they pointed the Bubble Stun guns in their direction.

- Now hear this ! You are all under arrest! Put your hands up !' - Commands both Baos to the Earthlings.

Larry and the rest looked astonished, and were staring at the aliens, who ordered them to form a single file.

Curly grabs a stone, and throw it with force, hitting Arlo in the forehead. Down it goes the Baos.

- Halt !- Cried the other alien, firing at random, hitting Joe, who blurred and disappear from sight in a whoosh.

Larry punched the alien in the stomach, then a neat bang in the head, and down with him, too.

- Look how amiably this guys seems to be, and how mean they really were !' = Larry spoke, giving a kick to Nelo, that was moving.

They tied both Baos, and the professor Ciropen asked them when recovered :- Tell me, what did you donned with Joe ?

- We won't tell a thing.- Arlo said, stark faced.

Larry slaps him and Nelo said : -" Please don't beat us ! Your friend is now traveling to a Segregation...institution. He'll be all right !"

- All right, my aunt ! You take him back right now. Or I'll blow your nose !' - Curly menaced the Baos, with a sizable piece of stone.

- No, please ! We cannot do a thing now ! The man must have arrived destination..."- Answered the terrified Nelo.

The professor called his crew to the control room, and said " I guess what that alien said is true. Now we must search Joe with this ship. "

- Yeah ! But remember Joe is now in an Institution. Must be running out by a bunch of those aliens, too. We have no weapons, here !"- Larry remembered.

They all looked to the ceiling, paced the floor, and then the professor Ciropen said :- I get it ! We will use them ! As hostages."

They went out of the Sphere, and the Professor said :- We are decided. One of you will accompany us to that Institution. The other will remain here. If they don't return us Joe, the one here will be here for ever."

- No ! I don't want to stay here !- Yelled Nelo, when Arlo said he will go with the humans.

Arlo command the Infundibulum, that resembles a fog. The professor told Chemp to be in charge of the Sphere and the alien, until they came back.

\ - Sorry my asking, professor Ciropen, but if you don't came back, what do you suppose I do ? - Asked Chemp, trembling ostensibly.

- Ah ! You must wait us !- Answered Ciropen, enraged. They all enters the Infundibulum, and then they weren't any more i sight.

- Gone ! But it will be better that they return here fast, or you are going to pay the bill, buddy !'- Told Champ to Nelo, who began to wimp.

Meanwhile, the Infundibulum travels as fast as it was possible, and in no time it arrives to Segregation Camp Number 34, where they were all taking prisoners, alerted by the alarm Arlo set the second he enters the Infundibulum.

They all were disinfected, revised, and some minor operations were made to them, specially some gadgets in their brains, to have them tuned with the Central Brain monitors.

So they can scan their very thoughts...

The Institution was very similar to a Psychiatric Hospital. Several rooms contained them in the day, and by night they slept in communal bed rooms. The races were segregated, as humans were meat to other races of the Universe.

The indoctrination lasted just a few hours, and implanted in the very brain. So they couldn't even think in an escapade...The Central Brain then acted in the brain, and blurred the thoughts of free will.

- The beds are like stones ! I am aching all over !'' - Complained Joe, who was there before them.

- Joe ! At least we are together.'- The professor Ciropen said.

- together with this twerp ! I never suspected we were being cheated by that alien ! He must have set some device, alerting this people.- Larry explains.

- Yes, possibly. If only we could..."- Said the professor, but then the Central Brain acted, and he seats and began playing worth his sockets.

- What's wrong with him ? He is is acting strange !"- Curly eyed the scientist.

- Perhaps they operated him ! Remember we all were gassed...!"- Larry said.

- I want to escape. "- Said Curly. They all repeated those words, and smiled: nothing happens !

When the professor regained his composure, they told him to repeat with them " We want to escape ", but in the minute the professor tried, he blackened out.

- We are immune to the power of this fiends !"- Curly said.

- We have strong brains.- Informs Larry, smiling broadly.

They find that the keepers were unaware of their powers, and also every door was ajar almost all day. The devices implanted in the brains of the inmates were enough to control them.

In the case of Larry and his friends, the device weren't workingfrom lack of brains !

So they began to walk by the corridors, finding at last the Director 's office.

He was seated, listening to his secretary report, who was a nice looking female of the Baos society.

Larry, the professor and friends enters to the office as an hurricane, grabbed the professor, and cowered the secretary to a corner of the room.

- What is this ! Who are you ? Guards !' - Yelled the Director, a fat Baos named Gruion.

Joe banged his head with a basket near by, and the Director fainted .

- Look what you did ! Now we must wait until he awakens !' - Larry said, slapping Joe.

- No, we won't . Miss Secretary, please lead us out of here.- Told the Professor to the beauty.

- Oh ! Please don't hurt me..."- Said she, and she leads them. As everyone was supposedly brain washed, just curious stares the group receives in his way to the outside.

They saw the river, and the Professor Ciropen told the secretary "- You will leave us near those boats. Then you will be freed."

- Please, please !- She said, terrified.

They find a boat with nobody in sight. The secretary ignored how to drive it.

- I will gave it a try.' - Joe said, confidently, and after some fumbling, he started the engines.

- The anchor ! We must recover it, in order to go!- Larry yelled, and they all went outside the control room, and began searching the way to weigh anchor.

Joe again find the appropriated leer, and then they told the secretary to go, but she fainted.

- What we do ?- Asked Joe, staring at her.

Some guards from the Institution appears in the entrance of that building, and yelled to them, aiming some guns at them.

- Go, go, go !- Said the Professor, and Joe ducked inside the cabin, steering the vessel . In two minutes they were out of reach of those fire arms.

- I was expecting them to appear with some more developed weapons."- Joe laughs.

- You jerk ! One of those bullets almost cut me in half !'= Larry banged him in the head.

- We leave them with the desire to catch us. - Said Moe, laughing.

In the building , the /Director was recovering, and they told him the prisoners escape. He said, touching his head pensively "= In which direction?

- To the sea, Director.- Told him the Chief of Guards.

- let them go. They will find a certain death..."- And the Director smiled.

- But Sir ! They take away your Secretary !

- They did ? Then that changes everything. Prepare another vessel to follow them, and carry your weapons.- Ordered the Director, feeling dizzy with so much rage.

But the other vessels were less powerful, so the Professor Ciropen were handicapped them.

--------------------------- - I feel the escape was too easy. There is something strange in this situation Told Moe to Larry.

- Ah ! The pessimistic ! Live !"- Larry yelled , giving Moe a kick in a rib .

After 2 hours travel, they arrived to a lake, and Joe keeps east, with the land at his sight.

- We have a magnificent vessel, guys ! If not for me, you would have been taking inside the Institution again.- Joe said, putting a pride in his accomplishing.

- Yeah ! We know you are a genius.- Larry kicked him , in a friendly manner.

The Secretary's name was Caola, and she wept in a corner.

- Please, lady ! It wasn't our intention to kidnap you ! We will leave you in the first civilized post we encounter.- Said the Professor.

Caola 's height was 1.30 meters, and his complexion was slim. Her round eyes were black, the skin was pale brown, and her head was naked.

She was dressed with a tunic, and her shoes were translucent.

- I was working for the Institution...I never thought I could be abducted...Please don't make me suffer !"= sobbed her.

The professor told her to go inside the ship, but she preferred to stay up.

= Joe calls you, Professor.- Larry announced.

He went to the cabin, and then Joe show him the lake ended , and two branches of water keeps going west.

- Seems the river keeps going, after this interlude...We'll take the right side, skipper.' - Told the professor .

- Aye, Sir.- Smiled Joe, and sets the prow to the right wing.

Three hours later, the sun goes down.

- let's anchor in that site ! It's near the shore.- Asked Joe, and the Professor accepted.

The shore was full of rocks and mud.

During the night they heard terrible growls.

- Which animals could those be ? By the sound, they must be enormous !'- Joe utters, terrified.

- Without a doubt, those animals must be as elephants !- Said the professor Ciropen, pensively.

At dawn they feel hungry, and Curly said :- " Somebody should disembark and search for food."

- Yes. You go."- Laughed Joe.

- But not in this sector. There it's too much mud. Perhaps down river we could find a better place."- Answered Curly.

They find the perfect spot in half an hour. Both sides of the river has pebbles .

They anchored the vessel, and the professor said :- I need two brave men who could bring us food. Some volunteers ?"

As nobody utters a word, he chooses Larry and Moe , who swing ashore in an awkward manner, being the profundity of 15 meters.

They climb the steep shore, and at the top they waved back. Then they proceed to the forests.

The sun was shining heavily and at noon the ship's planks were hot. The professor Ciropen ,Curly, Chemp, Joe and the native woman, Caola, refreshed themselves pouring canes with water from the sea over their heads.

- It's two o'clock and they aren't returning.- Chemp grumbles.

- Gave them time."- Said Joe, spitting to the waters.

- Perhaps they get stranded.- Chemp grunts.

- I don't think so.- The professor said, but with too feeble conviction...

The afternoon were passing in a slow way. The crew swims near the boat, 'cept the female , who didn't know how to swim.

The afternoon came to it's end, with the sun hiding under the horizon. Then some shouts were heard, and they all see the return of Larry and Moe.

They were surrounded by small native people, hardly clothed.

- Natives !- Yelled Chemp.

- Incredible ! They are carrying Larry and Moe at their shoulders !- Joe speaks, smiling.

They jump to the water and swim to the boat, climbing it by the ropes.

- Hi ! Good news ! The natives are friendly and they gave us fruits and beverages ! - Joe said, and he shows a big bag containing ripened fruits of several kinds.

- I brought myself something better ! Look at here !- Larry said, and from his bag he takes several golden dishes , spoons and forks.

- Let me see this !- Asked professor Ciropen, and after a minute, he said - Pure gold !

- Gold ! - They all yelled, and the dishes were viewed by all of them. The work of engraving was a lousy job, but the gold was the valuable thing there.

- They know how to melt gold : they also have copper and bronze.- Larry explained to the Professor.

- Yes, but I bring back the valuable...or you prefer bronze ?- Asked Larry with an incredulous to the professor.

- Well, you ask fruits to the savages and get going.- The Professor Ciropen said.

- What ? There is enough gold there to get as rich ! Or, I mean, do you prefer some hot dish there? They prepare a wonderful soup.= Larry grimaced.

- Soup ? We'll, let's go ashore. A little hot soup will fit me fine."- Said the Professor.

They all went ashore, swimming.

When they arrive to the shacks the darkness was total. But several fires were lit, and then the professor could see that a mighty wall was surrounding the town, except in front, where a massive wooden door was being closed.

- They are afraid of the beasts.- Larry inform.

- Are they too dangerous ?- Asked the Professor.

- How could I know ? They talked with this folks by way of signs! - Answered Larry.

They were introduced to the Governor, sort of, and the man was a fat one, seated in a chair made of a solid block of tree.

Several women were serving him fruits, and when they seated on some logs, the girls came and offers them ripen fruits.

- When the sun is up they roast meat, but in the night it is forbidden, as the smell attracts beasts.- Said Larry.

- And what happens with my soup ? - Asked the professor Ciropen.

- Oh ! I forgot they serves it at tea time !- Larry said, smacking his head.

- To- morrow we will return to our vessel. Ask if this people can gave us fruits for the voyage."- Told Ciropen.

- Are you crazy ? Why are we going to keep on surfing if here we found a nice cozy place to stay ?= Asked Larry.

- Don't talk the professor in that way !- Joe said.

- But how he pretend to keep on navigating ! It's a fortune we escape from the Baos ! Also we don't know how much fuel the boat have !- Growls Larry.

They talked about this, but they didn't get a resolution.

Then they tried to communicate with the savages, by way of sounds and grimaces, roaring with laughter when seeing the Governor dancing for them.

They slept near the fire , but before dawn they heard shouts and the natives were running to and fro.

- What's the matter ?- Asked the professor Ciropen, putting his pebble - thick glasses.

- How should I know ? They are running like madmen !""- Larry said standing up in a second.

They walked to the Gates and saw that one of the hinges were loosed.

- Something it's trying to enter !- Yelled Curly.

Big Bangs from outside were going on. A shadow barely visible suddenly showed sparkling eyes, also a big mouth with banana- like tooth...from four meters altitude.

- It's a tyrannosaur ! - Ciropen yelled, alarmed. He almost loose his lenses.

The dawn came, and the beast 's head showed itself more clearly.

The Indians throw stones and some javelins, but all those projectiles didn't harm a bit the big monster ....

The tyrannosaur {sort of } grabs a native by one leg, and with a terrible crunch began to much the body, so some pieces goes to the floor, bathed in blood.

The taste of hot blood turns on the Beast, so he banged with it's head the remnants of the gate, who went down together with some defendants.

The monster gave two steps inside, moving also his big piece of a head, and with it's tail send two warriors some meters away, the same he eats in no time.

- Professor, let's move out ! Or else it will eats us for good !"- Larry yelled with ashen face.

Almost all the natives were running for their lives.

- There it come !"- Joe utters, running in a slow manner, due to his overweight.

They entered a hut, hearing the stomps of the beast behind them.

- Look! A door tramp in the floor ! - Curly informed them .By there some natives were throwing themselves in, the majority women and child.

- Get hurry, shit !- Moe barked, almost out of himself, seeing that some kits were playing instead of to rush to the Pit.

A roar almost deafening were heard, and a big crash follows.

- Must have been the neighbor's hut , smashed by the furious Tyrannosaur ! "-- Ciropen speculate.

They saw all the natives weren't in sight, so they begin to follow them to the interior of that cellar.

A tremble, and part of the patched roof went down, so Curly looked up and saw two devilish blood stained green eyes of the Tyrannosaur, that was searching for meat.

- Get hurry ! - Curly yelled , but his terror mounted, and he jump to the hole ,ignoring the stair.

Five meters of free fall for him, and he landed in soft terrain, as some children were there, playing.

The beast finished wrecking the roof, and in two mighty steps arrived to the pit.

Down there all was confusion. The pit was 5 meters deep, and then a tunnel began in an horizontal way. By that tunnel the [professor and his crew were crawling, as it was pitch dark. Some stones protruded from the walls, and it scratches the bodies.

- What a dust full place ! Cough ! I almost cannot breath !"- Complained someone.

- I cannot see a thing ! '' Informed Joe.

- Do you believe he will follow us ?_"- Asked Larry.

- He cannot squeezes in a one meter hole ! We will be safe here !"- Barked the professor Ciropen.

The tunnel ended in a five meters wide cave, that in that instant was full of children, women and the professor's bunch.

The kits cried loud, the women soothed them, the earthlings kicking, to made themselves room.

After some minutes, Moe sensed someone embracing his legs, and touching, he finds out it was a woman, sobbing in fright. The native searched in his clothes, and when finding the male organ, she reaps the trousers and began to suck the penis. Moe weren't knowing what to do , also the moment was delightful, so he forget his worries so he could evacuate several times in the female's mouth ! The native, when feeling it will be no more of that for her, slept in his legs.

The professor tried to reunite his crew , but Moe's experience was happening to several other members, so he couldn't .

Several hours elapsed, so they all were asleep, even the noisy kits.

Ciropen crawled to the tunnel , and seeing the light of day, he crept to the pit.

Some 20 minutes were there, looking how occasional clouds were passing in a slow way. He was going to climb ,when the big head of the Tyrannosaur appeared there, scanning the pit with his two evil eyes.

The apparition lasted a second, as the beast moved his head. The professor puts a hand in front of his face, frightened.

It seems to him almost a vision !

He retrace his crawling by the tunnel, and then an arm, armed with big claws, rasped the same spot where he was reclined gazing up !

-Groarr ! - The beast growls, when finding nothing at the bottom of the pit !

The professor run in all fours to the cavern, so he landed in the middle of the natives .

The yelling and kicking began again down there, as they all thought some kind of beast were attacking them.

The female who was asleep over Moe's legs wakes up, and begin again to sucks his dick. This time Moe endured the caresses a while longer, notwithstanding the fact he was caressing the native's head, uttering some cries, that some of the surrounding fugitives thought they were of pain...

Same luck happens to Larry and Curly, with some minor difference, as to Curly was attired an old lady, that coughed more than sucked...

Three days were there in hidden, and at the fourth the natives begin climbing the pit, with a slow chant, arriving to the surface without problems.

The earthlings follows, blinking when seeing the radiant sun shining up there.

-The monster goes ! But, couldn't it be lurking somewhere ?- Asked Moe.

The natives were searching in the remnants of the huts. There were no more laughter and a sad atmosphere was present.

At middle afternoon all the townspeople were passing by the fallen gate , not looking backwards.

With mimicry, the natives told the earthlings that the Tyrannosaur will came back that night and all the following nights , as in his brain were the memory of beings scurrying in that place...meat for his big belly.

They forbids to go with them {as some of the males wished} ,signaling with jests that they considered them " ...of bad luck".

- May be they have reason. This town seems to be of ancient origin, and then a dinosaur appears and smashes everything in the same day we arrives."- Chemp said, but the rest of the crew answered him it was mere coincidence, and the rest was superstition.

- I don't believe it's just superstition . " - Chemp retorted, enumerating the evil things that were happened.

They walked to the river, swim aboard the Baos's ship, and Professor Ciropen told them "- If we could have received more fruits from the beginning, nothing of this affair with the monster would have haunted us."

Chemp said "- Apart from the fright nothing more we have suffered, Chief."

The darkness were falling, and Larry began to wheigh anchor. Just in that moment they saw a big silhouette emerging from the town's side.

It was the Beast, following the smell of the earthlings !

- Get hurry, start the engine !"- Yelled Chemp.

- What's the matter with you ? Are you much in a hurry ?- Joe answered, molested by the attitude of his mate.

- The monster ! There it came !"- Chemp hiccups, seeing that the boat were turning coast-side, now the anchor was high.

Larry runs to help Joe, that with the tension was yelling and eating his nails, instead of to steer the ship.

The dinosaur jump to the water, chest - high.

- Help ! - Yelled Moe, jumping to the river.

Larry made the engine start, and the vessel moves straight to the monster, who grabs the prow with his incredible tooth.

The boat goes by the side, the motor going. They all jump to the river, and began swimming to the middle part of it.

The current swiftly takes them and the boat and his opponent promptly were leave behind a corner of the stream.

The river keeps it's course straight. They climbed a sand island in the middle of the delta.

Wept and shivering {more because of nerves than of fright}, they pull out their soaked clothes . Professor Ciropen coughed.

The river roared by all side, rushing to the near by sea, that white line about 600 meters away.

The stars shone brilliantly above them, and the natural satellites were visibly rushing in their orbits , as the night passed.

At the other day the sky clouded itself, and the wind finished by drying their garments
