KOKIRI
Great Deku Tree:
A centuries-old living tree and the Guardian Spirit of the Forest. The Great Deku Tree is also the caretaker of the Spiritual Stone of the Forest. It is the Great Deku Tree who gives life to the Kokiri, and helps to maintain order within the Lost Woods.
Link: Actually an orphaned Hylian, Link's mother was killed during a bloody battle in Hyrule Town. Kokiri Mido takes special delight in making fun of Link, both to his face and behind his back, and though most of the Kokiri are friendly to Link's face, they all enjoy making fun of Link behind his back. Kokiri Saria is perhaps Link's only true friend. Link leaves the forest to lead on his ultimate destiny as carrier of the Triforce of Courage and Hero of Time.
Navi: Born in the Lost Woods, Navi is a young fairy who will eventually become a guardian of a Kokiri. As yet, Navi is much too young to become a Kokiri guardian but is mature enough to run errands for the Great Deku Tree.
Mido: Chief of the Kokiri, Mido is a bully who is so full of himself it's amazing he hasn't exploded. Mido takes special delight in making fun of Link, the only Kokiri without a guardian fairy, and is trying to win the heart of fellow Kokiri Saria. Mido's bullying of Link goes a step further when he decides Link is responsible for the death of the Great Deku Tree without hearing Link's side of the story.
Saria: Probably the only true friend of Kokiri Link, Saria is a great appreciator of the music intruders to the Lost Woods play to pass the time. Saria also has a kinship with the forest spirits greater than any other Kokiri. Due to the closeness Saria feels to Link, she is devastated when he leaves the Lost Woods and becomes the only Kokiri to defend Link against Mido. Saria's loyalty to Link takes a new turn when she awakens as the Sage of the Forest.

Distrustful of the new Gerudo king, Zelda plans with forest boy Link to enter the Sacred Realm and recover the Triforce. Zelda's plans backfire, and are the eventual cause of Ganondorf gaining the Triforce of Power. With the Triforce of Wisdom now within Zelda's heart, Zelda leads the Sages of the Triforce to bind Ganondorf into the Evil Realm.
Talon: The owner of the only ranch in Hyrule, Talon simply can't see the time when he'll be out of work and takes life far too care-free. A rude awakening calls when Ingo uses deception to have Talon fired. When greedy Ingo himself falls out-of-favour with Ganondorf Dragmire, Talon is able to regain his ranch. He now works long and hard, promising not to make the same mistake he made last time.
Malon: Daughter of ranch owner Talon, Malon takes a special kinship with the animals at the ranch. When Ingo takes over the ranch, Malon is kept on to work as little more than a slave. Malon refuses to leave, fearing for the safety of the horses, especially her favourite mare Epona.
Ingo: A hard-working rancher at Lon Lon Ranch, Ingo feels quite infuriated that his employer is one of the laziest men he has ever met. When Gerudo King Ganondorf Dragmire offers to help Ingo become the owner of Lon Lon Ranch, Ingo is all to happy to oblige and decides to give the horse Epona to Ganondorf. Ingo then becomes somewhat lapse, flaunting his newfound position for personal gain and becomes a rather compulsive gambler. Ingo then loses Epona on a bet and falls out-of-favour with Ganondorf, losing the ranch which falls again into Talon's hands. Now humbled, Ingo becomes a loyal worker in an effort not to succumb to his greed again.
Chief Carpenter: The leader of the highly-skilled Hylian Carpenters, the chief carpenter actually resides in Kakariko Village. He prefers not to talk so much about himself, and overworks his employees almost to death.
Ichiro: A carpenter reconisable by his red trousers, Ichiro feels his boss works him like a slave and secretly hides away to take longer-than-usual breaks. It was through this overworking that Ichiro wanted to find a job that would promise him maximum pay with little work; the only thing he could think of was thievery. For this reason, he led his co-workers to join the Gerudos and their band of thieves. When this plan backfires, Ichiro decides to count his blessings and return to his work as a carpenter.
Jiro: Donning green trousers, Jiro also works as a carpenter but prefers to work with a drill sergeant boss rather than be without work.

Shiro: Wearing grey trousers and also working as a carpenter, Shiro is a sympathetic man and can't stand the tyrannical leadership of his boss. He's more than happy to side with Ichiro and find an easier line of work, but decides that life with the Chief Carpenter is better than life in a prison cell.

When Ganondorf makes Hyrule Town inhospitable, she simply does not have the funds to re-open.

SHEIKAH AND OTHER KAKARIKO VILLAGERS
Impa:
Possibly the last surviving Sheikah, Impa made her home village open to all soon after the peace treaties were signed a little over a decade ago. Impa then served as the personal handmaiden to Princess Zelda at the request of the King of Hyrule, caring for her charge as though Zelda was Impa's own. When Ganondorf makes an attempt on the life of the King, Impa takes Zelda into hiding as one of her race's own. Despite her old age when the Hero of Time finally comes to ultimately destroy Ganondorf, Impa still proves her loyalty to Zelda when she awakens as the Sage of Shadow.
Sheik: When Princess Zelda's life is placed in danger, her attendant Impa tutors her in the way of the Sheikah. Donning the garb of a Sheikah peasant, Zelda takes the name Sheik and waits in hiding for the return of Link from his imprisonment within the Sacred Realm. Using the magic of the Sheikah to appear and disappear like a shadow in the night, Sheik aides Link in helping to complete his adventures.
Chief Carpenter's Son: This guy is worse than a pessimist, neglected by both his father and grandmother. Despite his hostility towards other people, he really just wants the love and attention of his parents. The boy overstays his welcome and is forced to join the tribe of Skull Kids deep within the Lost Woods.
Granny: A potion researcher living in Kakariko Village, Granny is the mother of the Chief Carpenter. Koume Twinrova: One of the sorceress sisters who raise a Gerudo King at the Spirit Temple, about as far west in Hyrule as one can travel. Koume's power revolves specifically over fire and extremes in heat, and tutors a Gerudo male in the most powerful of magic, which would otherwise only be taught to the most diciplined of wizards.
Kotake Twinrova: Twin sister of sorceress Koume, Kotake's power is over ice and extreme cold. She cannot venture outside of the Spirit Temple during the day for long periods of time, since she is easily harmed by heat. Nabooru: Elected Royal Regent of the Gerudos, Nabooru's position was forfeited upon the coronation of Ganondorf Dragmire. One of the few Gerudos permitted to hold an audience with their king before his coronation, Nabooru realised Ganondorf's deception and his true, dark soul. Nabooru tries to lead her people against him, but the people dismiss this as Nabooru trying to regain her position as Gerudo leader. Nabooru ventures herself to the Spirit Temple to defeat Ganondorf, but her battle against Ganondorf takes a new turn when she awakens as the Sage of Spirit.

Marathon Runner: This guy is obsessed with how fast he can run, but still knows a fair bit about Hyrule's history.
