Lake Hylia

At Lake Hylia there are three Pieces of Heart, five Gold Skulltula and one Gossip Stone. Time flows normally at Lake Hylia, but there are no differences between its daytime and nighttime versions. You will encounter Blue Tektites and hostile crows at the lake, the latter especially appearing at night.
The main entrance to Lake Hylia is from Hyrule Field, though you have to look around for some ladders if you plan on entering that way. On the shore of Lake Hylia is the Lakeside Lab, which houses the medicine-making Lake Scientist and a deep pool of water, at the bottom of which are some Rupees. Also on the shore is a large cornfield watched over by talking scarecrows.
The main bridge off the shore of Lake Hylia leads to first a smaller island with some kind of gravestone on it. A second bridge off this island leads to the main island, which has a mysterious plaque and the warp destination for the Serenade of Water. Built into the main island, but at the bottom of the lake, is the Water Temple.
Another island built along the perimeter of the lake has Lake Hylia's famous Fishing Farm. That's basically an entire level in itself, so I don't cover it in this section but rather give the Fishing Farm a page all of its own.

Lake Hylia is always full of bright, clear water. On the main shore, you will see some marble ruins built. If you have the Silver Scale, you will be able to dive into these ruins and discover a warp point to Zora's Domain. Around the warp point are some green Rupees and a mysterious object which has washed along Hyrule's waterways to the lake all the way from the home of the Zoras.
Two scarecrows guard the cornfields, Bonooru and Pierre. Pierre dreams of seeing distant lands, while Bonooru has an amazing memory for musical tunes. There is a soft soil patch near the Lakeside Lab.
Kaepora Gaebora is perched on the gravestone on the smaller island here. He will be here for the entire game and will offer Link a lift to Hyrule Field, just outside the entrance to Hyrule Town.

When you first arrive at Lake Hylia in the future, you'll find that almost all the water has been completely drained and that a large storm is occuring over the lake. This is how Lake Hylia will remain until you defeat the Giant Aquatic Amoeba who resides in the Water Temple.
Only Bonooru is watching over the cornfield at the lake, since Pierre has gone on walkabout. Bonooru remembers Link, and the tune he played, very well.
Before getting the Water Medallion, you won't be able to access the Fishing Farm just by swimming there; you'll have to use either the Magic Plant near the Lakeside Lab or the Scarecrow's Song to summon Pierre and grapple him with the Hookshot.
Because Zora's Domain is frozen over, you won't be able to use the warp point here.
