Walkthrough
BEFOREHAND
Recover the Lens of Truth from the Bottom of the Well, and obtain the Gerudo Card by clearing the Thieves' Hideout. Now traverse the Haunted Wasteland to the Desert Colossus. Enter the Spirit Temple, then exit again to learn the Requiem of Spirit. Using the Prelude of Light, return to the Temple of Time and become Young Link. The only way Young Link can reach the Spirit Temple is by play the Requiem of Spirit.

SON OF THE DESERT
Enter the Spirit Temple, avoid the flying pots, climb up the stairs and turn left. Talk to the Gerudo there, whose name is Nabooru. Tell her you have nothing to do, and then agree to help find the Silver Gauntlets. Nabooru will then let you pass.
Destroy all of the bats in the room (some are Fire Keese) and the Armos Knight. Two doors will open, go down the one on the left. In here you'll have to fight a Stalfos Knight; just keep on attacking him and try to force him down the pit. Use the Hylian Shield to avoid the Stalfos's attacks. Once he's down, lock onto the skull flying around the pit and kill him with the Slingshot. Now, see the far side of the pit? There's a Crystal Switch behind the chainwire, so toss the Boomerang to drop the bridge to the other side of the room. There's a chest there, too.
In this next room, a fire-breathing snake named Anubis (what's an Egyptian god doing in Hyrule?) will appear; simply use Din's Fire to send him packing. Don't hit the Crystal Switch in this room, simply fry Anubis and get moving. There isn't much in the pots, either.
In this next room, flush the Wallmaster out of hiding and knock him out before you gather the Silver Rupees. Most of them are lying around, but climb the chainwire fence to reach those high in the air. When the chainwire wall opens, knock out all of the bats, preferably before they become Fire Keese. Once the room is clear, use Deku Sticks to ignite the torches and reveal a chest with a Key. Go through the door to be back to the bats-and-Armos room.

Go through the crawlspace between the two doors, getting bonuses in the wooden crates if you really want to. Go through the locked door, then proceed to the climbable wall. Knock out the Skullwalltulas then climb up. Knock out the Lizalfos, then look for the Sun Switch on the floor. Near there is a part of the wall which can be Z-Targeted; hit it with a Bombchu. Hit the Crystal Switch in this room for a chest full of Bombchus, and there's another chest in here as well.
Map You'll now be in the main room. Push the nearby Armos statue down to the hold-down Switch on the floor below. Jump down to the floor below, and before the giant statue are two unlit torches. Use Din's Fire to ignite them and reveal the Map. Go back to where the Armos statue fell, then climb back up to the entrance of the room. Go up the stairs to the top, then through the door.
In this next room, knock out all of the Beamos with Bombs, looking out for the Switchblades. Now gather all of the Silver Rupees to ignite a permanent torch. Using Deku Sticks, light the other three torches in the room. Grab the Key from the chest. Now, see where those four moveable blocks are? There's a Sun Switch on one, so get it out of the pack and push it towards the sunlight not far away to open the final passage.

After you go through the short passage, you'll come against an enemy called Iron Knuckle, which is the closest thing this Temple has to a boss. His giant axe can take off 4 hearts of your life meter per hit, so make sure you've got plenty of life potions or fairies beforehand. You can also have him smash the pillars to reveal hearts.
IK moves around slowly, swinging his axe whenever something gets in his path. IK will either perform two horizontal strokes or a single vertical stroke. To defeat him, first get close enough for IK to wind up his attack, then retreat. Once the final stroke is performed, leap in with a Jump Attack. You'll be able to get away in time before IK can hit you again, but he'll still be winding up his attack. Go in with another Jump Attack, get away, wait for IK to finish his attack, then....well, you get the picture.
Eventually, IK will lose his outer armour. This means he'll start moving around really fast. Take out your Slingshot and keep lobbing him with Seeds to send him packing permanently. If you run out of seeds, rely on projectile attacks before going back to sword blows.
Once IK is down for good, the door will open. Proceed to exit the temple and talk to Kaepora Gaebora. After he finishes telling you about the Sorceress Sisters who inhabit the Spirit Temple, you'll be able to proceed out onto the Sand Goddess's hand and get the Silver Gauntlets from the chest.
You'll now be treated to a cinematic sequence where Nabooru is captured by the Sorceress Sisters. There is nothing more Link can do here, not without the power of the Silver Gauntlets....
