Requirements: Zelda's Lullaby, Hammer, Bow and Arrows, Longshot, Hover Boots, Fire Magic, Bombs
Hints:
COME AGAIN!
Enter the Temple and watch out for the flying pots. Go up the steps and turn right, pushing the block out of the way to reach a room guarded by a Beamos. Hit the Crystal Switch in the roof with the Bow or Longshot, then go through the left door. Here, destroy the Wolfos and play Zelda's Lullaby on the Triforce symbol to reveal the chest containing the Compass. Use the Longshot to reach the chest, then return to the previous room.
Go through the other unlocked door to reach the boulder room. Here, you must gather the five Silver Rupees to reach the next room; most are hidden in alcoves where the boulders roll, one requires the use of the Hover Boots to reach. Once you have the Rupees, go through the door and, being wary of a Like Like, get the Key. Go back to Beamos's room to find the locked door and proceed.
Look out for a hungry Like Like in this next room; climb up the wall and use the Lens of Truth at the summit to spot a Floormaster. Kill him and his little friends, then grab and push the mirror onto the Sun Switches. Two reveal treasure chests (one containing a heart, the other trapped) but another one will open the door. Go through the door and go up the stairs to come to the main room. Now, see how the back wall consists of the giant statue? On her left hand is a Triforce symbol; run up the stairs and use the Hover Boots to reach it. Play Zelda's Lullaby here for a chest to drop down on her other hand (and for you to be able to access the elevator shaft), then use the Longshot to reach it.
Open the chest to grab the Key, then drop down to the floor. If you didn't recover the Map from here as Young Link, go in front of the statue and use Fire Magic to ignite the torches and reveal the chest. Go back to the stairs near where you first entered the room, not the set you climb the wall to reach. Grapple the Longshot target to get back onto the stairs, then climb them to the summit and go through the locked door.
In this next room, destroy the Beamos with a Bomb and use Fire Magic (preferably Fire Arrows) to destroy the Anubis as well. A pit in this room can be filled using the Song of Time to reveal a block. When all the hostiles in this room are destroyed, go through the opening door. You're now in the statue room, and this room is tricky: there's one barred door here near the entrance, not the one near the Sun Switch. Stand right next to the barred door near the entrance, then turn and face the four Armos Knights. From where you stand, use the Longshot to hit an Armos behined the Floor Switch; the Armos will bounce around and step on the hold-down Floor Switch, and you can quickly enter the next room. Sneaky, eh?
In the next room you must face off an Iron Knuckle, the same one you faced off earlier in the Spirit Temple. Again, get close enough to IK so that he performs his attack, then retreat. As IK daydreams after his attack, go in with a Jump Attack. Retreat, wait for IK to attack, then perform another Jump Attack. Using Biggoron's Sword here allows you to simply use Lunge attacks to hit IK from a safe distance. Repeat the process from the top until IK loses his outer armour, then switch to Arrows. When IK finally goes down, proceed through the opening door to exit the temple onto one of the Sand Goddess's hands. Here, you'll find a chest containing the Mirror Shield: return to the room where you suckered the Armos Knight into holding down the switch.
In this room, stand in the bright light and use the Mirror Shield to reflect the light onto the Sun Switch. Go through the opening door to find a chest with a Key, then backtrack to the room where you fought Beamos and Anubis to find the locked door. In this next room, knock out the two Beamos with Bombs and the Skullwalltulas before attempting to climb the moving wall. The moving wall has sections which move along. If you're between sections when they move, you'll sustain damage and fall to the floor. Patience, timing and observation will allow you to climb all the way to the top, but you can use the Longshot to grapple the very top section, which is stationary and allows you to reach the top quickly and easily.
At the top of the moving wall, knock out the two Beamos then look behind you for a platform with some hearts on it; reach it by grappling the Longshot target, then return to the main route by grappling the top part of the moving wall. Go through the door at the summit, and you won't go two steps before coming to a Triforce symbol. Stand on it and play Zelda's Lullaby to open the next door.
Get rid of the Torch Slugs in this room, then use the Hammer to shatter the fake doors and reveal an Eye Switch. Activate it and use the Longshot target in the roof to get on top of the ice block. Activate the Floor Switch to get rid of the flames around the chest, then open it for the Boss Key. Return to the previous room, then turn right and continue along the passage to the door.
Use a Flame Spin to activate the Crystal Switch behind the bars, then go through the opening door and destroy all of the hostiles. Bomb one of the walls and proceed, knocking out the hostiles. Look around the top of this room to find a Sun Switch that reveals a chest of Bombs when activated. Proceed along this passage, clearing the area of the hostiles. Once you're in the clear, manipulate the mirrors so that the light shines through the bars near the Crystal Switch. Now, get to the side of the bars opposite the Crystal Switch.
Stand where the light shines, then activate the Sun Switch with the Mirror Shield to move the elevator platform down. You'll find yourself back in the main room, and you can use the Mirror Shield to shine light onto the face of the statue. The delicate statue will crumble away and reveal a grille; grapple it with the Longshot to reach it, then go through the boss door.
Inside, you'll find the two witches who kidnapped Nabooru. They won't fight you immediately, instead sending a giant Iron Knuckle while they take off. Use the same techniques as before to get rid of IK, but when its armour falls off you'll discover that it's actually Nabooru! In defeating Nabooru now you've broken a brainwashing spell placed on her, but the witches will appear and recast their spell, teleporting Nabooru to some unknown place while they're at it. The witches themselves will then vanish.
Go through the opening door and you'll come to a room with rather large platforms. Climb onto the centre one, then run into the centre. The witches will then consider this an act of self-sacrifice, and then appear to destroy Link. The fire witch is Koume, the ice witch is Kotake, and together they are:
TWINROVA: Sorceress Sisters
The two sisters fly around, casting a spell at Link. Koume will launch a wave that'll turn the floor to lava briefly, engulfing Link as well. Kotake launches a major ice spell which causes the floor to steam and will imprison Link briefly. When one sister casts a spell, use the Mirror Shield to reflect the beam onto the other. You can lock Z-Targeting onto the spell-caster, but only to line up the shield correctly because you must have Z-Targeting off in order to angle the Mirror Shield.
After enough hits, the two sisters will join into a single Twinrova. Lock onto Twinrova with Z-Targeting, and then block the incoming fire or ice spell with the Mirror Shield. The spell will not be reflected back, but its energy will be stored in the Mirror Shield. You must now block two more spells of the same type: if, for example, you block an ice spell when you've got fire magic stored in the shield, not only will you lose the stored energy but you'll still sustain damage from the spell.
After you block three spells of the same type in a row, the energy will fire back at Twinrova and she'll fall to the ground. Now run in and attack with your sword. Repeat the process of blocking three spells of a consecutive type, then running int with the sword and you'll then be treated to a very entertaining conversation between the Twinrova sisters as they ascend to meet their maker! You can then feel free to recover the Heart Container before stepping into the warp to the Sacred Realm.
ELEVATOR SHAFT
After playing Zelda's Lullaby on the hand of the statue in the main room, return to the stairs near the entrance of the room. Climb to the very top and look to the opposite side of the room. You'll see a chest there; grapple it with the Longshot and grab the Rupees within it, and you'll find a rusted Floor Switch here. Activate it with the Hammer, then drop down to the bottom floor of the room.
Go through the door to the south of here. You'll have to push several blocks out of the way as you go through this passage, but you'll come to another rusted Floor Switch. Activate it and a small platform will start going up and down, making an awful lot of noise as it does so. This platform leads back to the very first room, but only Adult Link can use it.
