.... You may be wondering what the hell is going on here, well let me try to explain. A Long Time Ago, In a Galaxy Far Far Away, err no thats not it. Mystery Science Theater 3000 is a TV show (currently shown on the Sci-Fi Network, formerly on Comedy Central) about a man trapped in space forced to watch bad movies, really bad movies, really really bad... well you get the idea. Faced with such drudgery Joel (and later, Mike) fought back the only way he could, he made fun of the movies. Aided in the theater by the robots Tom Servo and Crow T. Robot (which Joel created) they all crack wise and launch a bevy of obscure refrences in an attempt to allow Joel/Mike to keep his sanity in the face of such cinematic masterpieces as "Santa Claus Vs. The Martians" and "Manos: The Hands of Fate".
.... Now when the Sci-Fi Channel aquired the show, they knew they had something special on their hands, and seeking to milk it for all it was worth created Caption This! on their website. Caption This! (or CT as I like to call it) gives ordinary people a chance to make fun of various pictures plucked right from the Sci-Fi Channel! Eventually Capping became so popular a slew of Caption Galleries, where Captions are preserved for more then the 5-10 minutes that they appear on the Sci-Fi Caption Gallery, popped up starting with GuloGulo and soon spreading like wildfire. So I jumped on the bandwagon and I hope you are now a little more clued in on what it is this site is about, the relocation, and preservation of funny captions! Oh yeah, and mine (HanoverF on CT) too!
