Play The Game You Draw Seven Cards and get:
I.K.C. Bortas, I.K.C. T’Ong, Gowron, Kahless, Plasmadyne Relay, Amanda Rogers, Q2.
Your Opponent Draws Seven Cards. A Coin is Flipped and you win. You decide to go first.
Turn 1
Play one card from your hand to the table: You decide that you want to play as many cards as possible as soon as possible, so you play the I.K.C. T’Ong. This ship must Report for duty on either end of the spaceline, carrying up to three passengers. You place Gowron and Kahless on board the T’Ong at Sensitive Search. Execute Orders: The T’Ong has Range 5, therefore, it may only move one spaceline location, namly to Fever Emergency. This uses 3 of its range. You decide that it is too risky to attempt a mission with 2 people, so you pass. Draw a card: The card is Kevin Uxbridge.
The opponent Reports Worf to duty at the Federation Outpost. He draws a card.
Turn 2
Play One Card From Your Hand to the Table:
You decide to play "Plasmadyne Relay" At your Outpost. This card enhances range and shields by two while on a starship. While on an outpost, adds 4 to shields. Your Outpost is now at 28 shields.
Execute Orders: You Move the T’Ong to the mission Investigate Sighting Draw a card: You Draw Kurn, an Officer.
The Opponent plays Deanna Troi and draws a card.
Turn 3
Play One Card From Your Hand to the Table:
You Decide to report the Officer Kurn for duty.
Execute Orders:
The opponent yells "Interrupt" and plays the card Temporal Rift on the T’Ong. This would make it "disappear" for 2 turns. In Star Trek, time is of the essence, so you play Amanda Rogers to nullify the Temporal Rift, an Interrupt. You Move the T’Ong to "Seek Life Form" Draw One cad to your hand: The Security Officer K’nera goes into your hand.
Your Opponent plays Richard Galen and attempts the mission. There is the dilemma "Shakka When the Walls Fell", which requires 2 Diplomacy and Cunning>32. Though the threesome has the diplomacy, it lacks the Cunning. draws a card.
Turn 4
Play One Card From Your Hand to the Table:
You Report K’Nera for Duty at your outpost.
Execute Orders:
The T’Ong Moves to Excavation. Your Bloodthirsty Crew of the T’Ong see a juicy target below. They beam down and attack the stopped away team. This initiates an away team battle.
Federation Strength____Klingon Strength
Worf = 10 ___________Gowron = 9
Deanna = 4 __________Kahless = 8
Galen = 2____________ total = 17
Total = 16
The Federation normally do not expect a strength > 16 for two people, and they never saw the people who reported to the T’Ong, so attempting the mission was not a large tactical mistake. Worf is randomly selected to die. The Federation Player plays the Interrupt "Klingon Death Yell". He yells to score 5 points, since Worf is a Klingon. The Away team from the T’Ong is now stopped. Draw a Card: You Draw Dr. Reyga.
The Opponent plays Beverly Picard, and the away team returns to the outpost becoming immune to attack. He Draws a Card.
Turn 5
Play One Card Down On the Table. Desperately in need for a faster ship, you play the I.K.C. Bortas. Execute Orders: Gowron and Kahless beam back up to the T’Ong, and move to Wormhole Negotiations and your outpost. They move to the outpost, and join the rest of the crew there. Though you do have Honor x5, attempting the mission is too risky for there may be an all-too-common Tarellian Plague Ship laying in wait. Draw A Card: A Soong Type Android is drawn. The Soong is able to choose its Classification, so you ponder about making it a Medical ‘Droid.
Your Opponent Plays the all-powerful "Future Enterprise", and you wish you had a Klingon equivalent. He Draws a Card.
Turn 6
Play One Card:
You Report the Soong Type Android as a Female Medical.
Execute Orders
You decide that a Birth Of Junior, which requires 3 Engineers, would be too dangerous, so you wait again in the hopes of forming a super crew. On Second Thought, you have the crew requirements for both the Bortas and the T’Ong. If a Borg Ship with Weapons 24 was hidden under there, you wouldn’t want both ships to be damaged. You crew both ships and move them over your opponents outpost on the Excavation mission.
You Draw a Palor Toff.
Your Opponent plays a Tasha Yar – Alternate. He nears the minimal Crew requirement of the Future Enterprise (He has 2 out of 3 Alternate Universe people, but doesn’t have any unused command stars) he draws a Card.
Turn 7
Play A Card:
You decide to play Dr. Reyga
Execute Orders
You beam your entire Crew onto the T’Ong, and move back to the Wormhole Negotiations. This way, the borg ship that moves to the far end of the spaceline will not damage the Bortas, your Flagship. Boldly, your crew attempts the mission, realizing that endlessly waiting is pointless (both literally and figuratively).
The bottom-most dilemma is revealed. It WAS a Tarellian Plague ship.
It Reads: All ship’s crew immediately die from plague unless MEDICAL volunteers to permanently beam over (discarded) to Tarellians. Discard Dilemma. The Soong-Type Medical Android beams over. Now you are tied with your opponent for points. The next dilemma is revealed as a Cardassian Trap.
Unless Empathy present, one crew member captured. The selected person is Kurn, who is effectively out of play.
Next Dilemma is Borg Ship. This is a self controlling ship that attacks everything in its path and moves to the far end of the spaceline.
It has WEAPONS = 24 and SHIELDS = 24
Your Shields are luckily enhanced by the Outpost. you have: (24+4)/2 + 6 = 20.
Your starship T’Ong is damaged. It is one of the few starships that functions perfectly in a damaged state! Its range is still five, but it cannot cloak. True, the Bortas could have cloaked, but a person would have had to remain on board to cloak it. Your Ship Strikes back, but its six weapons have no effect. The battle stops your crew this turn. The mission is without dilemmas! You hope that your opponent does not have enough people to pass the mission this turn.
You draw K’Chi Q, and the Borg Ship moves to the mission investigate disturbance.
Your Opponent plays John Luc Picard. He is still short of the needed crew requirement for the Future Enterprise. He draws a card.
Turn 8
Knowing that you seeded K’chiQ under the mission in the Cryosatilite, you decide to wait until after you execute orders to play a card.
Execute Orders
You attempt the mission again with the damaged T’Ong. No dilemmas remain, and you must check your skills.
Kahless has Honor x2, Gowron has Honor, and K’nera has Honor.
This counts as Honor x4. You get 45 points for a total of fifty.
Kmtar and K’ChiQ join your crew from the cryosatilite, and you get an artifact that may be played as an event called Kurlan Nasicose. When all seven skill types are present onboard a starship, all its statistics get multiplied by three. K’chiQ allows the owner to choose a skill each turn. This turn you choose Medical, so you can complete the Kurlan Nasicose. You play the Kurlan on the I.K.C. Bortas, hoping the opponent does not counter it. He yells "Interrupt", and plays Kevin Uxbridge to nullify the event. You are relieved to see a Q2 in your hand , and play it to nullify the opponent’s Kevin Uxbridge before it happens. After breathing a sigh of relief, you Palor Toff the Q2 in anticipation of another Kevin.
The T'Ong beams on the Plasmadyne Relay. The Crew of the T’Ong move to the Bortas, and the T’Ong beams over the crew. All seven crew types are present, making the Bortas 33/27/27; enough to damage the Borg ship. The Klingons anticipate the glorious defeat of the Borg as they head to the mission "Investigate Disturbance" where the borg from the Wormhole Negotiations moved. The trip to the mission requires 4+4+4=12 range, no problem for the Bortas. The Borg Ship Strikes, and Gowron’s Flagship strikes back (Gowron has Leadership Skill)! The Borg ship is Damaged, but the crew is stopped. You draw Roga Danar.
The Federation Player plays Jack Crusher, and attempts the mission Excavation. He passes the dilemma "Shakka When the Walls Fell" and goes on to Hunter Gangs. 2 people are selected (random), Picard and Deanna Troi. They are killed if Cunning is odd, saved if even. Deanna dies, but the mission continues. The last dilemma is Barclay’s Protomorphosis disease. This kills the whole crew unless Science, Medical and Security are present. Galen, Tasha, and Beverly have those, so therefore the Federation scores 10 points making it 15 to 50. They continue and pass the mission, giving them 25 points and a betazoid. The Future Enterprise Moves to Investigate Anomaly. They Attempt. The first dilemma is Tarellian Plague Ship, giving the Federation 5 points, but making them discard a vital member of the crew, Beverly Picard. The Federation player Devidian Door’s Lt Jg Picard in, an AU crew member. The mission continues, and the Future Enterprise comes across Conundrum, which is overcome. Then The Borg Strike! The Borg ship attack. Lucky the Federation has the card "Hugh" which nullifies the attack!. This allows them to pass the mission with Galen’s Exobiology and help from Tasha Yar’s Phaser. The Federation now have 75 points as they near victory. The Future Enterprise Cloaks and the player draws a card.
Turn 9
Play a card
You play Roga Danar at the Klingon outpost near the Klingon ship.
The Bortas Moves to destroy the Borg Ship. The borg ship is terrorizing the mission Explore Typhone Expanse, a mere 8 away. The Bortas moves there and attacks. The Klingons Celebrate Victory over the Borg as they damage it a second time with their immense weapons of 27. The Klingons now have NINTEY FIVE points! They draw a card: Nick Locarno.
The Federation Player plays Devonni Ral, who has the extra Diplomacy. The Federation player realizes that this is his last turn. He knows that if he passes ANY mission, he wins, but if he doesn’t, he loses. He has a Transwarp conduit in his hand. Therefore, he could go to any mission except sensitive search. He decides that running away wouldn’t help because the Bortas can go anywhere on the spaceline. He decides that it is likely a borg ship is under Study hole in space so attempts Evacuation after decloaking. The first dilemma is Yuta. You guess 5. (Integrity + Cunning- Strength) The first person with five is Tasha Yar. She dies. Then comes Android Nightmares—no effect, and finally Chinese Finger Puzzle—no effect. Because the Federation lost Tasha Yar--Alternate, they do not have the strength to complete the mission. The Federation only has 2 Alternate Universe People, so the ingenious player plays Enterprise-C, which reports anywhere, damaged. Then with Transwarp conduit, making the range on the Enterprise C, 10, he moves it to the outpost on the mission Study hole in Space.
Turn 10
You move the Bortas to the Enterprise-C, and destroy it. The Bortas has a leader, Gowron.
The Bortas’ Weapons = 27
Enterprise’s Shields = (8+(24/2))=20.
The Damaged Enterprise C is destroyed..
The Enterprise-C has weapons 7, and Picard is a leader. This is not enough to damage the Bortas, which has 27 shields. Retaliation shot has no effect. Your starship’s crew is stopped from battle. You draw Nu’ Daq.
The Federation plays Kivas Fajo because it had all of its crew on the Future Enterprise, and it has a small chance to come back. He Kevin Uxbridges your Kurlan Nasicose. Glad that you Palor Toffed the Q2, you nullify his interrupt.
Turn 11
You Play Nu’Daq.
You move to your Klingon outpost and pick Nu’Daq up. Then you attack the Future Enterprise as a sign of Klingon power. The Shields of the Future Enterprise are 9, your weapons are 27. 9*2=18<27. You have a direct hit. The Future Enterprise falls to the Bortas’ might. Your Crew is stopped, and you draw Divok.
The Federation Player plays Beverly Crusher and Devidian Doors Geordi LaForge in. They attempt from the outpost, hoping for a Tarellian Plague Ship, Cosmic String Fragments, or a point-giving dilemma. The first Dilemma is Tarellian Plague ship, which causes Beverly to beam over. The next is Shakka When the Walls Fell, which stops Geordi.
Turn 12
You play Divok and pick him up.
Then you fly to the mission the Explore Typhone Expanse, enjoying almost unlimited Range. When attempting, you encounter a Tarellian plague ship. You Beam over K’Chi Q (medical) for 5 points. You no longer have the large weapon range and shield bonuses because you lost your Civilian. The Next Dilemma is Cardassian Trap. You lose K’nera to the Cardassians. Finally comes Cyrithians. It will be a long journey... You sigh in relief as you realize you won the game (and also most likely struck down the Tarellian Plague with all of those Plague Ship dilemmas.) You win with your point total at 100, and your opponent’s total at 80.
