This Dreamweaver tutorial is designed to teach students
and faculty at the University of Central Florida how to create Web pages
and Web sites using Dreamweaver software.
This tutorial will enable the user to work on creating
a Web site as they use the tutorial by going back and forth between
the Web version and the Dreamweaver software program or by printing
out the tutorial in Microsoft Word and using it as a handy reference.
A Web site is a collection of Web pages linked together
with other Web pages both within and outside the primary Web site. Web
pages are written in a code called HTML (Hypertext Markup Language).
Dreamweaver provides the tools to create these HTML documents in an
easy-to-use format. With Dreamweaver, you can add and format text, insert
images, and create the buttons and other elements found in professionally
built Web sites as well as publish and manage your Web pages and Web
sites. Dreamweaver is designed to simplify the website creation process
and provides all of the tools needed to do the job. It accommodates
a full range of skill levels ranging from the beginner to the more experienced
computer operator.
