A native of Toronto, Jason Cadieux's first acting experience was as the
lead in a local theatrical production of Romeo & Juliet. Cadieux'
subsequent theatrical credits include roles in the plays Gulag and
Poor Superman.
On television, Cadieux was featured in the NBC movie What Kind of
Mother Are You? with Mel Harris and Mission Genesis co-star Sara
Sahr, although he had no scenes with her. He also worked with Lindsey
Wagner in the CBS movie Sins of Silence. Cadieux also starred in
the Canadian soap opera Family Passions as a boy from the town's
most prominent family who is accused of a crime he didn't commit.
In 1996, Cadieux co-starred in the feature film Lilies, for
which he was honored with a nomination for a Genie award in the Best
Actor in a Leading Role category. The film won a Genie for Best
Picture. Earlier he co-starred in the films Joe's So Mean to
Josephine, and Iron Eagles IV, with Louis Gossett, Jr.
About his character, Cadieux says, "everything 'Bren' says
and does is very specific. There's an economy of movement, nothing is
wasted. He's a very functional person, every action has meaning."

Jason's other theatrical credits include Steel Kiss, New World, and the
title role in Oedipus.
I'm not completely sure, but I think he also stars as Billy in High
Life. This is either still running or has just finished. The reason I'm
not sure is because I found the credits page for High Life and his name was
listed first, but I didn't bother to explore the rest of the site to find
out if it was still on, and I didn't bookmark it either. I'm guessing it's
at the Metro Toronto Centre, and the bottom of the page says that you can
order tickets by calling the MTC Patron's Service at (204) 942-653.
