Born in the Toronto suburb of Scarborough, Sahr originally set out to become a teacher. Fresh from the University of Toronto with a degree in English Literature, Sahr first found employment working in commercials. Soon afterward she auditioned for and won roles in theater, television and film.
Sahr was featured in the NBC-TV movie What Kind of Mother Are You? with Mel Harris, Nicholle Tom and Mission Genesis co-star Jason Cadieux (although the two weren't in scenes together). She also appeared in the FOX TV film The Possession of Michael B., and guest starred on several television series.
Sahr's theatrical credits include performances in the Canadian productions of the plays Key Exchange, Pete Goes Home, Orphans of the Storm and in the soon-to-be released independent film, Eternal Husband.
In her spare time, Sahr writes screenplays. She has written a feature film tentatively titled Brent Wood, which she produced with her husband, who is a Director of Photography.
