Reb paced the command center. Yuna and Gret sat at their stations and Bren was nowhere to be found. Lise and Zak were in Cryo looking up some things in the field of Science.

Reb looked at Gret. "Do you know where Bren went off to?" he asked.

"How should I know?" asked Gret in a rude tone. She looked up. "Besides, he's a big boy now and he can take care of himself."

Yuna rolled her eyes. Gret and Bren weren't speaking to each other. This had been going on a couple of months. Gret and Zak, on the other hand, grew close like Bren and Gret were....once.

Reb groaned. "His last check in was an hour ago. That was from his quarters!"

Yuna shrugged. "Don't worry about him. Bren is a smart guy. He can't into trouble on here....unless he's taking too long in the bathroom."

Reb couldn't help, but laugh. Yuna's little wise crack lightened the mood on the commander center. Gret smiled from her station.

Reb sighed. "Gen, can you tell me where in hell Bren is?"

Gren appeared with a solemn face. "He's still in his quarters."

Yuna looked up. "See....I told you." She smiled at Reb.

Reb nodded. "Lise, can you get Bren. He's a tad bit late."

Lise sighed and shrugged at Zak. "I'll be right back, okay?"

Zak nodded and fiddled around on the computer. Lise high tailed it over Bren's quarters.

The door was ajared and everything was silent except for the humming coming from the engine room. Lise pushed the door open and looked around.

"Oh Bren....Reb needs you on the bridge." Lise walked farther into the room and saw a table overturned. She raised her brow and was confused. "Bren?"

No one answered. Lise crossed her arms and frowned. "Come on, Bren. This isn't funny." She walked into the other room. Another door was opened. Lise walked into the room. No one was there. "Reb, he isn't here."

"What are you taling about? What do you mean he isn't there?" asked Reb.

Lise groaned. "He's not here. There isn't one in his quarters."

Reb frowned. "Well find him!"

Lise sighed. "Gen, can you tell me where Bren is?"

Gen appeared in front of Lise. "He's in his quarters."

Lise was getting a little annoyed. "No he isn't." She crossed her arms. "I looked."

Gen was confused. "My computers say he's in his room."

Lise groaned and stomped her feet. "I'll go look again!" Lise stormed back into his room and noticed something she never noticed before. It was a hand lying on the ground next the the end of the bed. Lise stepped closer to the bed. She saw nothing. Then a hand grabbed her and pulled over the side of the bed.

"Gotcha!!" yelled Bren. He stood up with a proud smile on his face.

Lise stood up and punched him in the stomach. "Jerk!" She kicked him in the shin and stormed out the door.

"Come on, Lise." Bren rushed over to her. "I was joking around."

Lise rolled her eyes. "Some joke."

Bren picked her up and throw her over his shoulder. "Well, if you are going to be like that....."

Lise began to pound on his back and scream at Bren to put her down. Bren walked down the hallway. He stopped and wiped his forehead. The room began to spin.

"Put me down!!" screamed Lise. She punched his back with her fist.

Bren dropped to his knees and Lise fell off his back only to land on the ground with a painful thud. Bren toppled over and laid motionlessly on the ground. Lise crawled over to him.

"Bren?" Lise shook his shoulder and sighed. "Bren...this isn't funny!" She waited for a second. "You better stop jok..." She turned him over and screamed. "BREN!!!!"

At dawn the sun will rise and take my vengeful soul,
the soul that feels no pain, no hope, and no love.
I will be laid to rest at dawn, under the mourning sun.

My life had ended so long ago,
but I was reborn by darkness
and I killed by the moonlight.
At dawn I will rest for once and for all.
My soul will not be pained after all.

At dawn I awoke to a black crow, who helped me fight.
I wished I never came back to thrive on the pain.
I painted my face white and black.
I was crying in my heart, but never aloud.
I would kill them and a red
cloud of blood would pour into a crow.
That was my mark of vain.

I look at the sun rising from the hilltops.
The wind has died down and the whispers have faded.
I have never felt so awfully jaded.
I was a goth with a mind filled of fantasy and adventure.
I belived in aliens, witches, goblins, and ghost.....I was immortal.
I never thought I'd die. Nothing could kill me.
I was a Greek goddess from Greek Mythology.
I could never be gone for more than a minute.
I was chatty and a loud mouthed.
I never thought I could parish.

My friends and I were hiking.
A group of college students pushed us off the side.
The ground gave out and the world slid.
I fell into
blackness with the echoing of screams,
but I never screamed back.
Water rushed into my lungs and flew into the dark.
I was alive, but I felt coldness inside of my heart.

I got my revenge, but now I must leave.
I see the sun rising and
I fall back into my hell pit at dawn......

AT DAWN by "Poe"

Lise sat in Bren's room. Reb and Zak had brought all the nessicary equipment down from Cryo. Bren was lying on the bed, asleep and unaware he wasn't apart of the world of the living. Lise didn't know how to deal with comas. None her flashbacks were coming to her and Gen couldn't help.

"Lise....I brought you some tea." said Yuna as she walked into the room. She sat down next to Lise with a sad look on her face. "How's he holding up?"

Lise shrugged. "I'm trying to figure out what the hell caused it. He was fine one minute and barely alive the next."

"A minute is all it can take." said Yuna. She crossed her arms. "I never thought something like this could happen to us."

Lise smiled. "We think we are immortal until something goes wrong."

Bren's head began to move. Lise stood up and took out her tiny, little flashlight. She lifted up one of Bren's eyelids and shined the flashlight into the eye.

"He's still the same." Lise groaned and sat down on the bed.

"Yuna, we need you up in the command center." said Gret.

"There's my que." answered Yuna. She stood up and walked over to the door. "I'll see you later."

Lise sighed and looked at Bren. A black liquid rolled out of his noise. "What the...." Lise touched it and it turned red. "Gen, Bren has blood coming out of his nose."

Gen appeared in the room. "It can mean two things, Lise."

"What?" asked Lise as she stood up.

"Moliko poisoning from the vents or internal bleeding." said Gen.

Lise trembled all over. "Guys.....I think Bren won't make it."

Zak and Reb walked into Bren's room and saw the girls waiting for them.

"So...what's the thing about Bren not making it?" asked Reb. He crossed his arms.

Lise looked up with a weary face. "He has some interal bleeding. It's making his brain tissue swell."

Reb rolled his eyes. "Well....operate!"

Lise stood up. "I can't! I don't know how!" she yelled.

"You the goddamn doctor, Lise! You should know how!" screamed Reb. He looked at Bren, who was unaware of the events unfolding around him.

Zak put a hand on Reb's shoulder. "Man, calm down."

Reb glared at Zak. "No! If he dies, I'll kill you, Lise! I swear to God I'll kill you, bitch!" He began to charge at Lise, but Yuna and Zak grabbed him.

Lise stared at Reb and rolled her eyes. "Get him out of here. Bren....and I don't want to see him."

Reb kicked and screamed as the three other crew members dragged him out of Bren's room.

Lise sat down next to Bren and began to sob. "I'm so sorry, Bren. Why can't you just wake up? You're tearing us apart..."

"You're tearing us apart...." said a semi-familiar voice.

Bren looked up and squeezed his knees tighter to his chest. He was dressed in a white shirt and white sweatpants. He looked at the piece of paper in front of him with the crayons. He shrugged and began to draw again.

"One, two....buckle my shoe." Bren began to mumble. "Three, four....shut the door. Five, six.....pick up sticks. Seven, eight...um....lay them straight." He picked up a black crayon and drew a cross on the drawing's forehead.

What he didn't know was that the drawing was himself.....
