Survey Says...

Okay, folks. Let's have your opinion.

What name do you go by online? (optional)

Watching the movie "Chasing Amy" not long ago made me think again about the kiss given by Krycek to Mulder. Could it have been simply his own idea of a stylish exit, something to get Mulder off guard so Krycek could escape, possibly repressed sexual feelings for Mulder, or something else? What do you think?

I was watching "Pulp Fiction" again recently, and I got to wondering what it would be like if, for one episode only, Marcellus Wallace appeared in the place of A.D. Skinner. What would it be like if Ving Rhames played the part of Skinner for an episode? Cool, huh? ("When the X-Files are taken away from you, you gonna feel a sting. That's pride.") I'm sure that band-aid on the back of the neck might take on an even greater signifigance than it already has. Along those same lines, if you could take one actor and have him or her play an established character for one episode only, who would you get, and who would he or she play? Feel free to explain.

I'm confused. We've got the Greys, we've got the Bounty Hunter-types, we've got the self-face-mutiliating guys, we've got the black oil, we've presumably got hybrids running around, and now we've got the much more violent type as seen in the movie. However, are the Bounty Hunters and the face mutilators the same species? Is there only one species of Grey-type alien? Is the black oil an intelligence to itself, or does it simply act as a medium for the travel for a different intelligence (or something else altogether)? See what I mean? To make this simple, I'm only going to ask for a number. Exactly how many intelligent non-human species are we dealing with?

Now that the season is finished, what was your favorite episode from Season 5?

On the other hand, what was the worst episode from Season 5?

Special Edition - Fight the Future

Now that we've seen the movie, there are plenty more questions to answer. Here are a couple.

We've seen the black oil used as both a means of carrying a consciousness from one host to another and as a vector of infection for the virus that produces the new alien type. Is this an inconsistency in the writing, two different possible uses for the same type of oil, or two different types of oil entirely?

Writing inconsistency
The same oil
Different oil

The Syndicate has been working with its bees for quite some time now. They could have been intended to aid the colonization by spreading the virus, fight it by spreading the vaccine, or some other purpose entirely. What do you think?

Spread the virus
Spread the vaccine (assuming they could develop one)
Some other purpose (include a brief explanation in the space below if you wish)

Give the movie a grade for consistency with what you've already seen on the series.

Some critics are saying that the image of the bombed office building borders on bad taste in its evocation of Oklahoma City. What do you think?

Agree strongly
Agree mildly
Neutral
Disagree mildly

Give the movie an overall grade based on how good you personally thought it was.
