Background: Kron Stone is the son of Tyler Stone, President of Alchemax. After killing the Gallows family, Jake Gallows, the Punisher 2099, hunted him down and "killed" him. Not having much patience, Jake simply threw Kron's body into the sewer.

While Kron, barely alive, was floating down the sewer, a mutated offspring of the Venom Symbiote bonded with him and healed him. He then killed a homeless bum and left his ID on the body, thus establishing himself as dead.

He recently resurfaced and took Dana D'Angelo, Tyler Stone's lover, and Xina Kwan,
Spider-Man's, hostage. Dana was killed and Venom was apprehended.
