Cleaning the area.
Cleaning the area before a rite is not necessarily a physical
cleaning, nevertheless, it is very important to do it before a rite.
When you feel sad, happy, tiered, or anything else
if affects your surrounding, it affects the people around you, and it affects
the places you are. When you are cleaning the room, you are getting rid
of those energies that might distract your work and consternation, helping
you reach a better focus and results.
How to Clean the Room
There are many ways to
clean a room before a rite, all of them, it is recommended that you'll
do with a least one open window/ door to allow the energy to get out.
A common and simple way is
simply to spread salt around, starting with the alter, then the will- be-
circle and then the rest of the room. Imagine the bad energy leaning the
room.
Another way I like is to pass
near the walls of the room with a simple candle, using the candle to focus
and draw out all the bad energy, this method will take longer, because
you have to pass near all the small corners and around the furnichers,
but it's good when your room is really 'dirty'.
A third way I learned but I
like less is based on the fact that the bad energy is present at three
levels, one near the ground, the second is about the height of your shoulder
and the third is above you. Cleaning then must have three phases, using
both hands like a shovel and leading the energy out of the room.
