The Well of Souls Playset came in a rectangular box, the front the same as the back. As with the other boxed playsets, the packaging included some funny blurbs on the side of the box. ("EEEE! A MUMMY! We're Trapped Indiana Jones.") It was released with the first line of figures along with the Map Room Playset.
